Would you say you really MISSED them? (we watched Office Space this weekend)
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
I hope your dog was ok. This was the worst for mine. People have been shooting off illegal fireworks(anything that goes into the sky is illegal here -- sparklers and ground fountains are the extent of legal and those are recent laws) for a few nights so we've had dog on the landing. Now he won't even go back into his kennel during the day. I'm weary of this. Our neighbors came home at midnight and did a HUGE show last night; glad I didn't have to work, butat 2am I was ready for some sleep.

Nice workout Jen - I continue to be impressed with your bench press! Do you find the single leg bench squats to be difficult -- I've attempted them a couple of times (minus the bench) and have been unable to complete even one.

Sounds like the nerve was in your neck. I have something similar. Usually the best thing for it is time. Strangely enough DB deadlifts helped me because of the traction.

Looks good, Jen.... I'm glad you're not out of commission with the injury! Your "taking it easy" workouts are pretty good, for a girl...

Hi all! Been busy this week:
Training has been on track. I got the numbness in my first 3 fingers again when I did OH Squats on Friday -- it went away after 30 mins. or so, but still I must be doing something wrong. I'm gonna send J a video to see if he can spot any issues....
I did striking class with a really strong chick on Thursday and my body has felt trashed ever since -- sore shins/hands, etc. She was such a fun partner though.
Today I'm taking the day off -- just gonna do some tempo training on my bike.
Going to see Transformers later and out to BJ's for dinner

Sucks on the numbness, but smart to have Jonathan check things out for you. Sounds like you had fun with your new striking partner. It's always much more fun when you do things like this with someone who is better or more adavnced than you...just makes you better. Can you continue on with her or do you have to keep changing?
Enjoy the movie and dinner!

Yeah she takes the morning classes so we can probably work together T/Th -- I was amazed at her power -- she was a tiny thing, but solid....

So, do you have a new collection of bruises as a result of your session with a more capable striking partner?
I sure hope you can resolve the numbness issue. Enjoy your day off!

Hey guys!
Still around -- just been busy with some family stuff.
Training is good -- kickboxing is great.
On the business side of things I may have found a publisher for my piano books -- this is a very big deal so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
