Default Titan's Log

4/30/07

Excercise:
45 minutes light exercise and stretching with Physical therapist for knee

Diet:
Breakfast:
Cup oats with cup skim
4 eggs

snack
8oz protein shake

lunch
bottle powerade across the afternoon
turkey samich

snack
8oz protein shake
granny smith with natural Peanut Butter

Dinner
a half "Spit Roasted Italian Chicken" Note: was moist but not greasy
2 large bowls of dry salad - no oil, bleu cheese dressing dipped onto fork
mostly lettuce with some onions and very few olives.
Espresso with splenda


Notes: Dinner companions ordered a huge Bread Pudding dessert that I didn't touch.

5/1/07

Exercise:
planning to lift at the gym and try out my knee on the treadmill for 20 minutes

Diet:

Breakfast
Chicken breast and cup oatmeal with cup skim
Note: was still hungry after an hour so I added 210 calories of sun chips from vending machine, this removed the haziness I was feeling and improved my mood. According to calorie web site chicken and oatsd were only 400 calories

snack:
8oz protein shake

lunch
turkey sammich

snack
8oz protein shake

Gym:
3x Back/Chest superset
10x 110 lbs press
10x 35 lbs bent rows
30s rest between sets

Shoulders superset
10x lat pull 125
10x shoulder press 25
30s rest between

one legged cable pulls for knee rehab
external rotations for shoulder injury

arms superset
10 skullcrushers 20
10 curls 20
30s rest between sets

Notes:
Adding in abs next week
no lower body work due to knee injury

Dinner:
2 chicken wings, chicken thigh, drumstick
large chunk of bread
2 slices of processed fake american cheese
bottle of powerade
~36 Almonds

Notes: need more veggies for vitamins and minerals
Went to bed in a sweatshirt and woke up 1:30 am burning up hot and feeling a bit hungry. Metabolism was cranked. Decided to wait 45 minutes and eat again if hunger was keeping me from sleeping. Fell asleep and woke to alarm.

Breakfast
1 cup steel cut oats
2 tbs butter
Half chicken breast
2 chicken boullion cubes

Cup of coffee with probably too much non-dairy creamer

Notes: feeling alert and active. I think in the past I was starving myself and not cutting fat because I was eating too little. Mixed feelings about so much butter. Maybe try using a healthier lipid. I can feel my metabolism is elevated today from yesterday's workout.

Mood: 6
Motivation: 5

According to various calorie calculators I need between 3100 – 3350 calories per day to break even at 225 pounds
5' 11" getting exercise every day. This puts my fat loss target between 2400 and 2800. This seems high to me. On the other hand I feel rather tired at the moment…

Snack: 12 oz protein shake

Lunch: 2 tacos
Hard shell, steak, black beans avocado, salsa, lettuce, olives ~675 cal

Had 12 oz protein shake at 5pm, 5 hours after lunch

Dinner:
On The Border Ranchiladas 1360 calories!

Exercise:
Series of short jogs. About 30 minutes of running/walking.
Knee felt great. No pain in knee on 5/3

Notes: Start training legs again in gym. Knee rehab is getting where it needs to be.
Dinner feels like too many calories but if I look at totals for the day its coming out to around 2600 I think.

Crap. I forgot to add that I had a beer last night.

Breakfast:
Chicken breast. Half a muffin.
Coffee with creamer

Feeling good today. Not at all full from dinner last night.

Snack
12 oz protein shake

Lunch
12 inch double stacked subway turkey sammich – 666 calories

Snack
12 oz protein shake
Granny apple with PB
1 serv powerade
1 chunk of break
1 handful of almonds

Dinner
Chicken with peppers and onions
Quinoa

Exercise:
Lower body physical therapy at PT office. Legs were torched from running yesterday and PT today.
Planned to go to the gym but decided to give my body a rest.

Default Health problems

Been working the last three months on sorting out some health problems. I have an enlarged turbinate, concha bullosa, and deviated septum all as contributing factors in chronic sinusitis. Surgery is next monday. Allergy shots have been happening for the last 3 weeks. 4th stab is tomorrow. I think they are already starting to work. Congestion has been better for the last 10 days or so. More energy in general.

been getting back into the gym as well. just getting used to the idea, not a lot of intensity yet just light exercise. Will start training again beginning of September if my allergies aren't killing me. A lot of unknowns to sort out in the next 6 weeks.
