How are you finding this type of training? I've never tried it, but will probably give it a shot in the future if i need to cut.
If you set it up right, it's hard as hell. The ones yesterday were terrible, I was tired for a few hours afterwards.

I kind of like it, though. It's totally different from heavy lifting, and is challenging in different ways. I think it's working, I'm getting leaner while eating a very good amount of food. I'm eating more now than I did when I was bulking this time last year.

Looks like you're doing real well, PA. Man, do I wish I was moving the weights at age 17 that you are! I checked out that T-Nation article from Thib that you linked...I might give that a shot when I finish the first round of NROL Hypertrophy.

It's a sick show, everyone I know watches it...except my dad. He thinks its "crass", and asks me why Larry has such a young wife.

8.10.07
Weight:179

Strength Focused Mesocycle
C-1

Alternating sets with 90 sec rest
Decifit Deadlift-program calls for power cleans, but my form is atrocious. These'll do
1x3x245
1x3x245
1x3x250

Pull-ups
1x4xBW+30
2x3xBW+30

Triceps Lockout
worked up to..
1x5x205
1x3x205
1x5x205

Lunge
1x3ex155
1x3ex160
1x3ex165

Comments:
-this was pretty pretty pretty good. Everything felt strong.
-this is my first time doing deficit deads since feb. Back then, 250 was my 1RM. 250x3 was pretty easy today.
-first time doing triceps lockout. I used a close-grip for them to hit tris better. Is that the right wat to do them?
-surprised I could lunge 165. Not too hard.
-diets going well, eating plenty and have enough energy in the gym. Getting leaner, although slowly.
-looking forward to sleeping these next 2 days, this week I averaged 5-6 hours a night.

yeah, its not. That's part of the joke, how a socially-retarded schlub is married to a perfectly normal and attractive woman.

My form is pretty bad also, but I'm just grabbing a really light barbell to work on form now, after all it isn't going to improve on its own.

I hear you. But they take a while to get good at, and I felt I should put in a lift that I can actully do well. I should learn them at some point, though. They are pretty fun to do.

i can't remember, but do you have starting strength? He goes through a lot of details on how to perform power cleans. There are people who have taught themselves the lifts, like jesse marunde, and then later had a coach to help him.
