Comments:
-this was OK, but unpleasant. Bulgarians+stiff leg deads are not fun.
-Made good progress on everything though.
-1 more TBT workout, than I have 3 weeks till I go away for my family vacation. I'm gonna go back to an upper-lower split--TBT is too exhausting.
-Got a pretty cool summer job--interesting and flexible hours. So I want to train alot over the summer--like 5x a week or maybe even some doubles.

I'm working on the campaign for someone running for city commissioner...computer work, door to door, ect. I love politics so it'll be interesting to experience a campaign firsthand.

Yo, PA... I got your message in my log, but figured I'd reply here.

I *really* enjoyed HSS-100 last summer, and I saw some awesome gains with it--both strength and hypertrophy. If it's very different than anything you've done before, then I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try. Changing the training stimulus is usually a good thing, IMO.

The only drawback is that I was always very sore... meaning that my cardio training at the time was minimal. If that's not a problem for you, then go for it. My old log is still around somewhere too... called "The Glass of Milk is Full..." or something like that.

Cool. I've been doing total body/upper-lower splits for the last year, so this should be a good change of pace. Thanks!

Comments:
-damn, this was probably one of the hardest workouts I have done in the last year.Total Body+high reps=painful.
-Squats were good, I did them as breathing squats. A little bit awkward though as my ankle was bugging me.
-Happy with the increases on bench/rows.
-Militaries sucked as I was destroyed by that point.
-pretty happy with this program, I look bigger than a month ago. I wouldn't do it again, but it was an interesting experience.
-I surpassed my goal of 176...I've been eating alot this last month and it's working. Not totally clean but good enough. All my clothes still fit so I guess I'm not putting on too much fat.
-I'm just gonna wing it for the next three weeks--Heavy deadlifting and a good amount of benching..
-should be an interesting weekend, its Hip-hop weekend down here and the beach is swarming with cops..

4x6x155

Superset with 60 sec rest after crunches

Comments:
-good, hard workout. I made it up as I went along. I'm gonna do upper/lower for the next 3 weeks before I go on my trip...try to add 2/3 more lbs.
-Deads were solid. I wanted 9x4, but I just couldn't get the last rep with OK Form. I'll go for 9x4 with 270 next week.
-Power cleans were fun..I like low reps for them.
-My back is destroyed now...it hurts me to squeeze my shoulder blades together.
-Upper body tomorrow.

-Me and my friend wanted to pull 335, but a "trainer" saw what we were doing and told us to stop haha.315 was pretty easy though.
-205 wasn't that hard..I want 2 plates by the end of the summer.
-I wanted to try a set of 20 rep squats. Not fun haha. My back was on fire the last 5 reps or so, but I made it.
-I'll do upper body tomorrow.

I often get funny looks and comments when deadlifting in odd gyms, but ive never been told to stop! Man that would piss me off.

Nice work on the front squats, they are hard. 225lbs will come sooner then you think. 20lbs is nothing.. a dime on each side.. you got it in you now.

What?! What was the trainer's reasoning for no deadlifts? Because you were putting him to shame?

Probably as he didn't look like he ever touched a weight haha, the guy was training one of my other friends(READ:just making him superset preacher curls with barbell curls). He sees me pull 315, than runs over and starts going off on how we will "break the floor". I wish there was a serious gym near me..everything down here is a "health spa"..

That's why I've spent several hundred dollars on training equipment over the past few years. It has been sooooooo totally worth it. I really wish I could lift in my school's gym with the powerracks, dip and pullup thing, crazy cable machine that has like 8 different positions up and down, GHR, etc. but its not worth putting up with all the idiots inside, especially because it is a smaller weight room so those idiots would be in my way :p

thats awesome man, to have a home gym. The only reason I don't spend the $ I make from work on a home gym is the fact that I'm going away to college in a year...I shoulda made a home gym a year ago, but now it's too late.

Yea I totally hear you on that one. Nowadays, it's just putting the money in the bank for college and maybe a car, although every day that looks like less and less attractive, with the cost of buying a car, paying for insurance which for a male in NJ is reddddddddddddddiculous, and trying to fill the tank when gas is $3.25 a gallon. Luckily, back in the day where I had no expenses to look at, I invested enough money to get a good bench, ~450 of weights and some other smaller pieces of equipment. Growing up sucks :p
