I went to American University and half of the students were Jewish.

We have a ranking system of all students in the state. From 0(I guess) to 99.95(perfect score in all subjects). I would like to get above 90, but I don't think it's going to happen, I've been really lazy this year and don't know how much I can pick up with the exams, I'll probably be mid 80's.
Is it hard to get into? It's hard to say, If i had worked harder then no, but in my current position yea, but it depends on which course. I'll probably end up in Business Information Systems(83ish) rather than Commerce(90). This is at the second best uni.
I don't really want to go interstate, don't really want to leave my city, and I think the entry requirements are similar for the good universities around the country.
As for overseas, I have no idea how easy/hard it would be to get into say a college in the US, haven't thought about it, plus they would probably cripple me with fees.

and yeah, the college admissions situation is crazy right now. lots of very bright kids getting rejected from everywhere. I think it has to do with the peak of the baby boomers' kids applying. Anyways, I don't envy anyone that has to go through it.

Yes, you would have a problem with some of the smaller schools I guess. I have a friend who went to Williams and is observant (and keeps kosher, etc) and he didn't seem to have an issue. But if you're looking for a school with a larger community you would need to target a larger school. Makes sense. You'll find the right fit for you!

Schools in canada are pretty easy to get into still, 80% average or so will get you into almost anything it seems. I got in to university with far far lower then an 80% average in 6/8 courses (~60%.. high school I dont really remember :p). Now, I could probally transfer to almost any school, funny how that works..
Everyone goes to college now it seems.

Anyone can get into college in the US, its only tough with maybe the top 50 schools. and you're right, everyone is going to college now. A college degree is almost like a high school degree, it seems.

Damn...my SATs are better than most of theirs, but their extracurriculars are ridiculous. But I actually know a kid like that, worked harder than anyone I know and had crazy extracurriculars. He still didn't get in to his first school.

-this was weird. I don't know why I could only get 185x2, considering I hit 185x4 last week while hung-over and feeling like shit. Oh well, I';; do better next week.
-Everything else was good, some improvements.

that's what we have up to at chad's in the parisi speed school section. But they also have adjustable ones. They don't really use a lot of DB's

You can do without.. but 1 arm DB rows are great.. So are DB presses of all sorts too. I use the 100+ lbs db's all the time.. I thought most gyms at least went to 100.

well, there's adjustable ones, so they work just as well for rows.

Comments:
-good, tough workout. Felt a bit off, though.
-squats were balls to the walls. Happy with 225, considering I was doing 185x5 in may. I'll go for 230 next week.
-lunges were murder.
-I switched out romanians for good mornings..didn't work so well. Lower back was gone by that point. I'll have to think of something else.

Hey man,
I found this from an article Joe DeFranco Wrote, regarding WS4SB RE upper day:
"On your repetition upper body lift, you should choose a weight that you can perform approximately 20–35 reps with on your first set. Stick with the same weight for all three sets, and record the total number of reps that you performed for all three sets. The goal is to perform more reps using the same weight the following week." - link
Seems way to high to me haha, i hate high reps, not quite convinced that 20-35 reps is going to make me big and strong lol
. I'd be more inclined to go with something more like what he outlined in WS4SB III, with 12-15 reps. I think I'll be doing the program soon(original 3 day), I'll try for 15 reps on the first set and then whatever i can manage on the rest.

Comments:
-did this in the morning as I am going to a UMiami football game tonight. Pretty weak workout, I think because I did it so early.
-upped weight on RE Bench, I'll keep it till I hit 20.
-Put in scott presses for lateral raises, I like them. They are basically an arnold press done out to the side.
-no workout tommorow, as tomorrow night starts Yom Kippur, which is a jewish fast day. I'll pick up on sunday.
