Hey Ninja - we like the old you, twill be fun to see the new you. Maybe I will be inspired (find the courage) to find a picture of old me, and have wifey take a picture of the somewhat newer me.

Man. Big difference. You're doing great!
Nice sepia tone. Just like the old west.

Yeah, can definately see a difference. Keep up the good work!
I was trying to figure out what muscle led to sepia tone and then I remembered the settings on my camera :p

 Oh The Humanity!!
Definately a good starting point, solid base to work from and plenty of room for improvement. Can really see the progress in the Old West pictures. Nice job.
I say, you and Amy take before/after pictures and let the forum members judge the winner. Of course, if she wears that Supergirl costume...you're screwed...

Thanks guys (and gal)! I can see a difference too. I'm a little bummed because I had 10 summit pictures on that camera that I didn't get on the CD for some reason. But I got what mattered. I apologize for the crappy tone, I have no idea where it came from. But from now on, everything will be done with a digital because I will be at home.
I'm ready to let FL 2 kick my ass tomorrow. I'm strangely looking forward to it.
I just woke up and weighed myself, and if the scale this morning is any indication, it's going to be a great day. (I have a final today and my self promo ad to turn in.... which turned out amazing. special thank you to the person that helped me) ETA: I need a B on this final, so yes, this better be a great day. I've struggled in this class all year
201.2
I weighed myself twice. Couldn't f*(king believe it. That's a 5.4 lb drop from last week!!! I am so surprised right now. I know I'm not dehydrated, because I drank a gallon of water last night. I haven't run intervals since last Wednesday, and I only got in three workouts in the time frame. The diet was spot on, didn't cheat, so that must be the explanation.
Color me stunned. Even with a cheat day coming up on Sunday, I may be able to get under 200 by the 16th. That would be amazing.

Same scale, same time of day?
I'm sure there's some progress, but 5lbs in a week is quite a bit.

Nick,
If you look at steady progress over time and average it, you'll get a better idea of your fat loss. I go weeks with no scale loss, then 3 or 4lbs in a week. It stays, too.
Depending on diet, type of exercise, stress levels, etc. your body can be losing fat, but storing fluids in muscle tissue (I think it's called adema).
In addition, sarcoplasmic hypertrophy often occurs in higher rep ranges (10-15), leading to even more fluid retention (even without a bunch of sodium).
In fact, NROL often has this effect on people, particularly when they aren't used to the higher reps that AC put in there to punish them. Have you even seen some of the panicky threads in the NROL forum? It can be scary. Particularly if you actually see a weight GAIN at the beginning.
Once you get used to things, the fluid can retreat in a hurry and leave you with the scale weight movement that you've been hoping for. And, judging my the pics, you're doing great.

Nick,
The pics show some real progress. Keep up the great work. It must have taken balls to post that before pic, but you are changing that real fast.

Thanks everyone!
I weigh myself every Wednesday when I get up. I normally get up at 7:30 because I have class at 9, but since it's finals week, I had a final at 10:30 so I got up around 8:45. I don't think the 75 minutes made *that* much of a difference.
I have no idea how much was fat or whatever. I don't understand the sudden drop off because I did lose a lot the first week, then a little the second, and now a hell of a lot in the third week. The only think that was different about that third week was the lack of anything bad. My diet was perfect (at least on my standards) No simple sugars. Nothing. Does that have anything to do with it? Who knows. I'm just pumped about it.
