Yup, the cake helped. For a bit. It's still bugging me, but only occasionally. It's an odd one, some weird pain in right behind the patella, centered on the patella, comes and goes, bent or straight doesn't seem to matter. Oh well, I'll ice it tonite.

9th Oct
elliptical, 10 min .67 mi
2 min warmup
30s sprint/30s rest x 5
3 min cooldown
heartrate up to 155ish
fell to just under 150 before next sprint
no other info, heartrate monitor strap needs new battery.
Exhausted in general nowadays... stupid papers and projects and now plays.
oh well.
I'm dropping swimming because it's so early and I don't need someone to tell me about the food pyramid and bodycomposition and heart disease.
I can test out of it next semester.
I'll prolly be away again, I don't have the time to stop by much now.

Finally a smidge of freed time and a non-yoga/non-10-min elliptical workout.
Went light, been a bit since I've lifted, didn't want to regret it later and have it keep me out of the gym for a week
Yoga class @2, 1 hour.
Squat
warmup 45x8
warmup 75x5
95x6
95x6
95x4
rt knee started bothering me, trucked on, lowered expectation of what I was gonna get up
Deadlift (snatch grip)
warmup 95x5
115x4
115x4
115x3
knee really starting to bother me
lunges... travelling... warmup bwx5ea and then that's it, knee said enough
4.5 min treadmill, .1 incline, 3.5mph, .25 mi, made knee feel better
I think it's the rehearsal shoes. They were hell.
It does bother me when people think it's ok to put up with crappy footwear. I'm not saying to lift or run in, but if you can't handle shoes for 5 minutes without discomfort, it's not something you should put up with for hours of rehearsal. People have NO idea how much what they wear on their feet impacts their bodies. Totally threw me out of alignment... and I was doing really well too. dammit.
Bringing my own tonite, and the costume chick can bite me. It's better than any of her options.

Again on page three.
And up to 160.
Not a good thing.
Workouts have been spotty, at best. Other than yoga, and did you know that gets harder when you're eating like shit and putting on weight? It does.
So my fat ass got in a workout last night. 12 minutes on the elliptical, HR between 145 and 155. .8 miles.
How fucking sad.
So now to climb myself back out of this hole. Tomorrow is last day of classes, then just 3 tests (one with an 8 page essay) and monday afternoon I'm free.
New mantra... If I have time for the xbox, I have time to work out.
*sigh*

Nice to see you logging again Aoife. And doing something is better than doing nothing to be sure.
Which xbox? classic, or 360? I find I spend my weekends (particularly in winter, when not in Philadelphia) playing World of Warcraft and other video games.

We just got a 360 by turning in enough games to get us 250 in credit... so we got system, drive, and KotOR... grin. You know, you have to work hard to be evil in that game, it hands out light points like candy, but dark points require effort. :p

Doesn't XBox have some sort of virtual component sort of like the Wii? I am completely ignorant when it comes to video games, but I thought I saw something about that somewhere ... like DDR but maybe with other activities like martial arts or something ... yes? No? Then you could play while being active!!!

Oh, we have ddr and stuff for the playstation, and eye toy games... even the "workout" one that sucks... It's more the games I'm playing and the papers I'm writing.
Which is being fixed, but the lure is so strong...
I may have to resort to bringing the trainer downstairs to live in the living room... spin and play.... it won't work... Guess I should just work out, huh? :p
I did get in some time yesterday on the elliptical.
Classes over, tests will be over monday. Then I have nearly a week before vegas...
