Default The Women's CB and 300 Challenge

Ok ladies here is the thread for those of us that want to do Craig's 150 or 200 challenge and for the 300 Kendra challenge. I will post both workout challenges then when you do them you can post up what you did and the time. We can share experience's of the challenge here with each other. Also if we want we can train then try to beat the last time we have made. Stay tuned for the workouts!

Craig's Intermediate Women's 150

5 bodyweight rows
10 body weight sumo squats
15 body weight squats
15 pushups (regular followed by kneeling)
50 jumping jacks
10 spiderman climbs
20 reverse lunges
25 bicycle crunches

He doesn't have a set time limit for this, however the Kendra 300 was done in 38 minutes so I would think you could half that time easily. No scheduled rests but you will slow down toward the end, for both challenges.

The Kendra 300

25 pullups @ 50lbs assist
50 deads @ 70lbs
50 pushups
50 box jumps with 12" box
50 situps
50 db clean and press @ 20lbs - db must touch the floor between reps
25 pullups @ 50lbs assist

Again no scheduled rests but yep you bet you'll slow down near the end of this one.

I did Craig's 150 that he posted here, which is different than the one in his email So I'll post it up anyway and I will the the one he posted in the email later tonight to see how that one goes!

Here it is at any rate...

15 bw rows
25 squats
15pushups
50 jumping jacks
20 mountain climbers
10 close grip pushups
15 bw rows

Time 8 minutes. I can do better than this, next time I won't try it at 9 pm on a leg day. But it was fun

Good luck ladies! This should be fun to watch. I should probably consolidate all of the other threads into a men's companion thread.

Jenn, awesome! I am in as soon as I am feeling better ... I like the idea of Kendra's although I don't have access to a Gravitron so I'll have to use my giant elastic band for assisted pull ups. It will be interesting because I normally fatigue after about 8!!

It kills me too, but I find if I give myself a 5 sec pause at the bottom when I am fatigued Ican usually pump out a could more. What weight do you figure your band will give you for the assist?
I was toying with the idea of lowering the assist amount and upping the dead weight to 95lbs. Thoughts?

I'll do the one you did tomorrow and let you know. Should be a piece of cake. I will leave Kendra for next week or Sunday, I am a bit on the very verge of overreaching today

Thanks for posting all the different options for women. I guess someone somewhere must think we like to do different things on a whim.

Just remember "this won't be quick and it won't be painless but we are your queen/s!" (makes sense if you saw the movie!)

I think I'll have a good day to do this during spring break, but I'm not sure. I'm doing so well with NROL right now that the thought of stopping to fit something else in is kind of scary. Today I completed my last workout B with 15 reps so I'm 1/3 through the program. We'll see where this fits. I will admit I was gazing around the gym during my rests and figuring out the logistics of getting it all done in one giant circuit.

WE ROCK LADIES!!!

Brenda, you don't have to stop or delay your NROL schedule. This is like a day of intervals or complexes. The workout is really hard, but the next day, I just went and worked out like usual.

Yeppers! I am treating it more like a test to see where I am. Did my regular training today. I will try Kendra maybe tomorrow or I may leave it and do it at the summit if we have access to the gym. I think we should decide how we are going to do it first though. So I have a couple questions to ask first so we are all on the same page.

1) Are we going to do as many reps as you can get out at once w/o rest?

2) Or should we allow what ever rests neccessary and time it out so that you finish the whole thing in whatever time it takes you?

3) Or should we just give 'er til the allotted time is up and see how far you can get?

Ladies your opinions please.

Galya it was pretty easy. I know I could have done way better if I hadn't been so tired. The kids have been up and down like little yo-yo's the last few nights. I can't wait to see what you girls think of it.

I'm in! I'll look closer in a bit and see which one I want to do. My opinion on rules is: No rules! You do your best, I'll do my best and when your best is better than mine, I'll push myself harder and vis-versa.

Yeah for us!!

Galya, you go girlfriend!!! Awesome! I too can't wait to try it.

Jenn, I may have to get RL to go with me and help me count, 'cause after the music he put on my iPod I have a hard time remembering to count...I just want to sing!

Okay, I did Craig's 150 this morning. I did it at home so I had to do the bodyweight rows using my TRX straps w/my feet up on a bench. Does that count?

15 bw rows
25 squats
15pushups
50 jumping jacks
20 mountain climbers
10 close grip pushups
15 bw rows

3:40

I wouldn't say it was easy, so I KNOW someone can beat this time. I'm going to try it again at the gym doing bodyweight rows using the smith bar and a bench and see if it changes my time. I thinking it will since it's a little harder to get yourself in position to row.

Well, I did RedWifey's 240, due to the fact that I missed the pushup when I copied it down and I missed the last ten pull-ups.

Here's how it went: 32 minutes 20 seconds
25 pullups @120lbs asst (10, 7, 4, 4)
50 deadlifts @ 45lbs (2 sets of 25)
50 box jumps (aerobic step with 3 risers on each side, 10, 10, 13,13, 4)
50 situps (20, 20, 10)
50 db clean & press w/ 30lbs (5 sets of 10)
15 pull ups @ 120lb asst (7,8)

By the end I was sweating like crazy and thought I might throw up. I drank my PWO shake in one drink and it was soooo not enough! So, as we waited on our Rx at Sam's I had a hot dog and bottle of water. While driving I yawned and yawned and yawned and yawned until I might drift off to sleep. What a CNS workout!!!

When I started the box jumps I wasn't totally sure I could do it, but I gave it a try (I looked like a dummy I am sure) and finally got my rhythm and it was fun.

This was a great workout! I think I'll try it once a month (maybe the first Monday of each month?) and see if I make improvement.

Oh yeah, I weighed 173.5 today.

Kick ass job Jamie!!! You did totally awesome. I'm itching to try it soon too. Nice going there uping the weight on the db clean and press too woman!

"I don't mind at all," I said. "It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like so long as somebody loves you."
