Do what you need to do.
In this case?
The weight, will wait.

No workout today. Up most of the night with the kids (one or the other at various times). Good news is that my wife is starting to feel better. Plan to get up Monday a.m. and workout. Then try and keep it up all week.
Thanks for checking in!

Quick and Dirty workout today...after general warmup, did the following supersets:
Chin Ups / Pushups
Rev Pushups / DB Shoulder Presses
Got the heart pumping a little...pretty weak with these though. Need to do this stuff on a more regular basis. Nice 25 min workout though.

I generally rate workouts on, among other things, how I feel later in the morning. And I have to tell you, today, I feel pretty good. Body temp is up and I'm hungry. These are usually good indicators that it was a good workout - lot of turbulence or afterburn. Better than I expected.

Did some bike-HIIT this a.m. 6 min warmup; 15 min of 30s intervals; 3 min cooldown. Lots of stretching before and after.

Deadlift - 5-3-2 reps (work up to max)
5/225lbs
3/275lbs
2/300lbs*
Had to empty to plate rack on this one. Not sure about my form, my legs came up faster than my shoulders, but it went up. Looks like I'm going to (hopefully) need more plates for the next round of the OLAD program.
Short, pretty intense workout...me likey.

It finally landed on me it appears...
I woke up with a little sinus flare up and a runny nose this a.m. No big deal, those of us who suffer from allergy's are used to this. Did my workout, see above, and have felt progressively worse all morning. Unfortunately, this a.m. I was scheduled to do some application training then attend some other application training. So I've just now sat down and feel like complete crap.
In the past month, both our boys had ear infections. The little one even had bronchitis. Once they got better, my wife came down with it although hers turned out to be some type of respiratory flu. I'm surprised it's taken this long for me to get it.
Pounding the Green Tea this a.m. Not sure how long I'll be able to make it. Suppose to travel next week - need to get over it by then.
Ugh...more bumps in the road. When will spring get here?

Suffering a little...
No workout yesterday or today. Stayed home yesterday, would have today, but I'm traveling most of next week so I need to tie up some loose ends in the office. Going to try and cut out of here at noon though. My wife is working today so the house will be empty most of the afternoon, should be able to rest.
I know if the sickness is above the neck you should be ok to workout, but there's no way. Still pounding the Green Tea trying to kick it before I leave town on Monday. We'll see.
Later...sniff, sniff...

Over the cold...didn't last very long which I was happy with. Took the weekend off, enjoyed the warm temps and the time with the kids. Traveled to South Carolina Monday a.m. Pretty nice hotel in downtown Columbia. Decent weight room with actual dumbells!
Monday a.m. did a short weight workout. Did some upper and a set of lunges thrown in.
Tuesday a.m. did some intervals on the treadmill. Good workout.
Bad news is it sounds like either my wife is sick again or she never got over it before. I suspect the later. Heading back to the germ factory tomorrow a.m.

Scheduled rest day yesterday (still in S. Carolina).
Couldn't workout this a.m. My mother-in-law is sleeping in our basement.
Planning on hitting it hard this weekend.

UGHH...where to begin. Tired of making excuses. Started dieting yesterday, getting too fat. Going to continue with my strength program during April then switching to more of a fat loss protocal.
Need to get motivated...

Got up and did a bench workout today. Last night was the first night I've been able to sleep un-interrupted by outside means since...I can't remember. That made it pretty tough to get out of bed. Plus, we had T-Storms moving through all a.m. Nothing I like better than sleeping through a t-storm.
Anyway, got up and did the workout. Decent, I'll give it a solid C.
Bench 6x3
did sets with 155, 165, then 4 sets with 175lbs.
Also worked in some reverse flies and some DB rows during rest.
