Way less than ideal I checked the radar before I left, and thought I had a clear spell to run in. But just after I started I got drenched, and it kept up a good mile and a half. I finished my four miler. Fortunately this week is a step-back week, so I don't have as many miles to run as I did last week. But it is going to be a challenge.

Unfortunately, my husband is going to be traveling three of the next six weeks, which means I will be single parenting. I run at the Y while my son is at his fencing class, but I'd sure rather run outside than around in circles on an indoor track.

No passport , but I understand that running over the Ambassador Bridge is a challenge! Then back through a tunnel. I think Jim did it the year before last.

Nothing but beautiful weather out here in NH! :p

As for Detroit, I didn't do it but jruck did the half-marathon a couple years ago. I'm not sure if he got to run to Canada and back though it did finish at Ford Field.

I didn't realize the races were on different weekends, though tight finances will ensure I only do one and that one will be GR. I'm only running the half and it's $70 because I've waited so long to register. I think it goes up again after September 1st. I only paid $50 for the full last year. It's so good the race has a bigtime sponsor now.

Nice job on the rainy run.

Thanks.

This next week and a half will be a challenge. We'll see how it goes. This week is rainy, I have out of town guests this weekend, and Dave is travelling next weekend. I'm going to have to take whatever opportunities I can get, regardless of weather, i guess.

I did a seven mile pace run today. I ran it around the neighborhood because the weather report was nasty, so I wanted to be able to bail if it got too stormy. Because you can't go to far in my neighborhood, without hitting a hill, I'd have to call this hill repeats My time - 1:09:04, avg pace 9:50 - is still a lot slower than I was running in the spring, but typical of what I've been able to do this summer.

This run was scheduled for Saturday, but I'm trying to get some of my longer runs in this week so that I can spend time with my sisters.

Sorry about the rain jinx Dee. I had to do 4 miles on the treadmill this AM to avoid the same fate.

Just a slow five miler today. I made it home before the rain hit.

Man, it's been so dry all summer now the rains hit. A little late for the farmers.

I got my four miler in, even though my siren sisters were sitting in my sunroom with hot coffee and good conversation.

I got my eleven miler in this morning, so I finished all of last week's runs.

Thank you for that Did you see my report of Jake's virtual race with Asia? It was very motivating for him. We're going to tell him that Asia is in all of his races!

I missed that race report as well Dee. Way to go on moving up 100 places. Sounds like Jake enjoyed himself as well. Happy belated JP anniversary and congratulations on all your accomplishments.

Thanks

I got a four miler in today. Dave is away, so every run is an accomplishment no matter how far or fast it is! Dave is going to be travelling regularly, though, so we have to get this figured out.
