You're right, I tend to be a bit quad dominant which is really the source of my back issue. I've been working to build up the hammies but the calves I guess have been neglected ...

I need to get some lunch but I'm actually dreading getting out of this chair and going downstairs ... This is not good.

Comments:

(1)
I was supposed to do Workout A today but I abandoned it after two sets of the deadlifts. My sciatica was really acting up and it became apparent pretty quickly that doing deadlifts in that condition was pretty damned stupid. Clearly, despite my efforts, it is not getting better and I need to go and get some ART and cut out the lower body work. I've let Gobbla know that I am not in a position to continue on with BOM at the moment. This is not a program to attempt if you're not at 100%. And I have to admit I am not 100%. I will need to figure out what to do next, focussing on upper body work that doesn't cause any pain. I've been through this before. I know it will get better. It just needs rest, ART and time. I am seriously pissed that I cannot continue on this project with Gobbla. I was really looking forward to going through this program in '07 with him.

(2)
I didn't give up the workout entirely, though I was sorely attempted to do so. I did three supersets of upper body work. I should have done wide grip on the cable row but it was already set up for narrow grip and I was a bit too lazy to change it up.

(3) I'll continue to post in the log, commenting on Gobbla's progress, but won't post my workouts here any more. I may start another one; may not. Need to go lick my wounds now ...

(4) Good luck with the rest of the program, G! Knock it dead for both of us!

Sorry to hear that Rob. Sounds like you're making the smart move, though. Take care of that back.

Sorry to hear about the injury, Rob. Back injuries suck. Take your time so you heal good before diving into another program.
