My poor kids.
Jenn, under the circumstances that's a pretty good workout. Don't be so hard on yourself. After all you've been through this past week I bet it still felt good to push some weight around.

Wow thanks for all the support everyone. Last night was the first night of the new med's for Damian. He was asleep within 45 mins, which is a miracle for him. Usually I put him to bed at 7:30 and I read to him til 8 - 8:30 before I leave him to sleep for the night, except he is always up until 11-12pm. Knock on wood this also helps with the problems at school, I don't think I can take daily phone calls until March break. Life will be much better for Damian and for me if this med works. Ahhh time for school someone has public speaking today yaaaaaa Power Rangers!

I am not working out today, its been a crap day so far and I don't have it in me to go to the gym. However I need to vent so here is a God place. My log so it won't clutter up the OT with my stupid problems.
All things eventually come to a head. Well there she blows! Today starts off with the car dying again, have to get that damn alternator in before it toasts another battery. So I beg borrow and steal (ok not steal but..) and come up with the $180 or so that I need for that beasty. Lucky for me I don't pay to have it put in. The rest of the morning I spend bumping into crap and generally having a clumsy day. Not so bad really , I can live with that. Now the fun begins...
I call Family Responsibility Office to see what they are doing in regards to my case. They haven't a fuckin clue!!! What the hell is wrong with this picture. So my ex has been ordered to pay child support, he didn't make more than 4 payments from Dec of 2003 til last Dec. So they take him to jail over night. What does the fucker do then.. you got takes me to court. Asshole gets himself a lawyer, no idea how he can afford that because he sure as hell can't make his payments. Fast forward I win the case without a lawyer of my own, because I'm fair. I made a deal saying okay $360 a month is too much for him to pay, ok reduce the amount, reduce the amount he owes in arrears too, but in no way shape or form am I giving up the right to child support payments. Okay so in total he has to pay $175 a month (yes that is the total for both kids not for each) and $25 a month toward the thousands he owes in arrears. So since then ( yep its been over a year) he has made a whooping 5 payments. During this time he has done all kinds of fun and funky stuff to his van, (he lives with his mother and pays no rent), goes drinking and partying every weekend, smokes, smokes up and does other crap. The guy has a whole new wardrobe and a ton of new stuff. It burns my ass big time. My kids don't do with out because I find ways to make sure they have clothes that fit and shoes, boots and winter gear. I have had to re buy hats and mittens numerous times because their daddy forgets to bring them back after they have had their visits with him. I do with out a lot of things so my kids don't go without. I don't go and get my hair colored etc at a salon, hell I cut my own hair to save money, the pawn shop knows me by name now, I have one necklace left that was left to me by aunt when she passed away, I have one pair of three year old runners, and finally just got one pair of cheap $10 ones for the gym, one pair of winter boots (thanks mom) and a winter coat that was for Christmas. I plan ahead so my kids can go to all the school functions with their classes and also partake in pizza days etc. He has never helped to buy school supplies or clothes and shoes etc. Now my oldest son has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder ( genetics suck sorry little guy ) and there will be the cost of that on top of everything else.
Sooo what does family responsibility say - oh well we will have to look into it further. We will send him a letter and wait one month then we will wait another two weeks just to make sure and then we will do this two more times. If he still doesn't respond then we will try calling him a couple of times. OK people you have been doing this since 2003, the fucking guy isn't going to pay. Oh right stupid me that is because the fucker just bought a fuckin house. What an asshole I am no wait pardon me I'm a cold hearted cunt! Thats what it is, yep because I didn't want to live with someone who belittled me, scared me, threw me down concrete stairs or tried to use me to pay off his debts. Right that was a great place to be, locked in a room behind a fucking metal gate and shit , wonderful life it was. Thats what I want to raise my kids around. So here I sit just having scrapped my saving dry, borrowed more money to fix my care while daddy figures he doesn't have to pay. To hell with his kids having good transportation and medicine, or warm clothes, because hey they stupid bitch can do it all right.
Whew ok rant done. I feel better. Carry on with the regularly scheduled programming.

I'm so sorry to hear about all this, Jenny. That really sucks.
Say the word and I'll make my way up there and damage him for good. He sounds to me like a Type A: aluminum bat and dull scissors.

Oh Jenn! What an awful thing to have to experience. Is there any any way you can contact the judge that heard your case and ask him to help you with the Family Responsibility jokers?
You say the word and Ian and I are there!

I don't know Canadian law, but down here (in Pennylvania) they take your driver's license, hunting license (big deal in PA), raid bank accounts and tax returns if you fall behind in payments. If you have a bank account with a spouse or so, the Court seizes the account and the spouse has to prove what money is their money in the account. They will also throw you in jail and make you pay to get out and, if you can't pay, hunt for a job from your jail cell. I have seen judges throw my client in jail and force me to retreive their money to get them out! Further, the amount can be reduced to judgement and used to force sale of property.

LOL Ian.
Greg I wish it was that easy. Last Dec they threw him in jail for 4 hours then let him go without paying a penny. They did take his drivers license away but he didn't care he drove without it. When they finally put him in jail he turned around the minute he got out and filed a claim against me. He tried to get me to sign papers to rescind the arrears and stop future payments but he told me just sign the paper its only temporary. I took the papers home and read them- they were not a temporary order, they were permanent, he wanted me to wave all orders for child support for good and rescind all arrears that he owed. Needless to say I didn't sign. So we went to court and he had himself a lawyer that somehow he managed to get without having to pay and without legal aid. I wasn't allowed to have legal aid because the last child support and custody hearing was too close in time frame to this one. So I went in without a lawyer. I won the case and had agreed to reduce all amounts owing for the arrears and the future payments. He made 4 payments then stopped, except for one more about two months ago. FRO does sweet nothing to help, yet it is court ordered that they handle the case until Ian makes 6 months worth of payments on time and with consistency. Not going to happen, but Fro will send letters out asking him to call the office and make a payment, that takes 4 1/2 months. After the 41/2 months they will make 3 calls to his home, that takes another 2 months. Who knows what they will do then. In the mean time he sits pretty and laughs because he has no responsibility to his children. I know its selfish of me to be mad and want him to pay for them but I think that he really should, they are his kids too he should support them financially. Crap its only $200 a month and he has none of their daily expenses to pay. He was also ordered to pay for half the meds they need if they get sick, he has once since 2003. Canada sucks when it comes to dead beat dads, it takes them years to enforce any court orders and thats only if you bug them enough. Am I wrong? Maybe I should just forget about child support and then I can't get mad that he doesn't pay.

Well I know that you're very hard on yourself, so I'm sure most of us wouldn't find the extra weight to be nearly as bad you do.
That being said, if you're genuinely unhappy with how you look or feel... I have no doubt that you have the will and tenacity to change it.
May I remind you as well that you are currently doing a routine designed for hypertrophy, and that you told me yourself that you are eating enough for hypertrophy. So, the scale won't be heading the other way while you are doing this.

I have taken that into account Ian but the scale was beaming 135lbs at me. Where the hell did that come from????

Stress+winter+infrequent workouts = weight gain? That's my bet anyway. And you're eating over maintenance? Are you taking creatine?
Ok babe, no more fretting... get to work! I'll be aiming for trimming down by April too!

No on the creatine and I was even wearing less clothing than normal too. Time to get a plan together to lean back down after I'm done this program.

Who said that? I'll punch him in his head.
135 is NOTHING, even for a woman. Numbers don't mean anything anyway, I weigh 205 but when people hear that their jaws drop and they go 'no wayyy'.
