I feel back in the swing of things. I didn't like how I did on the test. Not on Thanksgiving, but on the days after. Water under the bridge.

Day 3
A1: Chinups, singles over 90% x3, 75

B1: DB Braced Mil Press, 3x8, 45
B2: Chinups, 3x8, bw

C1: Bulgarian Split Squat, 3x8, 80+
C2: Bench, 3x8, 135

D1: RDL, 3x20, 135
D2: Lat Pulldowns, 3x20, 120/110/100 (overshot the first set and it was downhill from there).

I really suck at high rep stuff. 20 reps of anything is hard. Not fun.

SS Cycling, 25 minutes
Then felt like riding some more. 20 more minutes. It's a good book.

Nice work. I'm liking the DB snatches w. 40s.

What exactly is a ballistic bench? Is it the same thing as speed benching or DE benching?

Thanks. It's been years since I tried two handed DB snatches. They're hard.

Ballistic Bench is benching on the smith machine. You throw the bar at the top and catch it on the way down (so far, so good). It's my DE bench work.

What a great day! Simply awesome.

Started off with The Sand Challenge down in Long Beach. I'd wanted to do it for a long time, but never got around to it.

Rested up, cleaned, wrote, etc.

Off to the gym. I felt strong, despite the workout in the morning.

A: Deadlift, over 90% x4, 375/395/395/375

B1: DB Lat Row, 5x6, 70 (4x6 last week)
B2: Deadlift, 4x6, 295

C1: DB Floor Press, 4x6, 70 (up 5 from last week)
C2: Seated Row (supinated), 4x6, 130 (up 10 from last week)

D: DB Snatch, 3x10x2, 50

Cycling for 25 minutes. Rolling hills simulation. It was nice... More reading of The Princess Bride.

Came home, watch The Family Stone. Rachel MacAdams is so beautiful. She's perfect. Then Claire Danes showed up. She's so beautiful. She's perfect.

The movie was funny and kinda sad, then turned out good, with some sadness sprinkled on top. Rachel MacAdams and Claire Danes were in it, too. They're so beautiful. They're perfect. I watched all the way to the end of the credits, but there were no outtakes of the two of them getting into a pillow fight and kissing. Kinda dissappointing. Oh well. Here's hoping for a Director's Cut.

My calves are very sore. Apparently, running on sand is hard on them.

I'm going to sound like a big complainer, but my lats are sore, too. I haven't been this sore in a while. Coughing and laughing make me wince.

Good workout Roland. Gotta love it when your whole body is pretty much sore.

Btw, I am not quite sure about your feelings for Rachel McAdams and Claire Dames. Do you think they are beautiful and perfect? :p

Yes & yes. Sorry. I'll try to be more definitive, next time.

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. It's the whole package; her voice, her face, the way she carries herself, her hair (particularly in this movie), etc. It all adds up to perfect.

Other than Rachel Macadams, who do you thnk is perfect, Alco?
