Your anger management book sounds like that movie "Anger Management."
Have a great day!

I can totally relate to the old married name thing ... I have now been divorced for 7 years, yes, count them ... SEVEN!!! I still occasionally get junk mail (usually from some bank offerring me a credit card) to me with my old married name. I have now been remarried for FIVE years ... and have moved several times since then. I actually started calling these companies a few years ago, telling them that that person was dead and it was very upsetting to keep getting mail in her name. That worked better than explaining the divorce thing!!!
You're almost out of there ... plus the humidity makes everyone cranky ...

17 yrs ago my dad co-signed a car for me. Said car lost his name about 12 yrs ago and was sold almost 10 yrs ago. Add in getting married and changing my name on the title and the fact that my dad has never lived in this state, much less this house. I get junk mail for my dad from auto insurance companies. What is with these people?

The scariest thing is when erroneous info shows up on your credit report. Luckily it's never happened to me but I've heard some bad stories.

Ohhhhhhhh no. He was a BUM... never had anything with both of our names on it other than our joint tax return (which, by the way, our (my) refund was seized for two years because he was a deadbeat dad who didn't pay his fucking child support! Well rid of that, for sure). That is one smart thing I did.
Forgot to add my run from this AM:
2.5 miles/23 mins. A little left ankle twinge here and there but no frank pain. I'm sure it's treadmill-related. I KNEW I hated those things.
Drama of the day:
DH got me a palm TX for graduation. I love, love, love it. I mean, I loveD it. I apparently either dropped it from my bag or had it stolen yesterday, just realized today... so I am ordering a new one on the DL and will just not mention the original one. What the hell else can I have land in my lap this week, I wonder?

Measures this morning:
Weight 139, self-pinches same as last week: 9/5/18 14.8% by the online calculator I normally use.
Circumferences: hips 35.75, waist 26 (down a smidge), L thigh 20.25 R thigh 20.625 (this offends my sense of symmetry, dammit), R bicep 10.5
So, very minimal change from last week. My camera has STILL not been returned from Mexico City, so no pics, either... I'm going to have to buy another friggin camera, I guess.
Off for an el diablo flogging. Will post workout when I get back, hopefully my jumps will be less embarrassing this week.

This is SO COOL (but this white girl STILL can't jump)!
Vertical jump: 14.1 inches ( increased by 0.8 inches)
Chain bench: 17% increase in max power output ( up to 189 watts, from 163 watts 3 weeks ago). New load now 60# (was 55# for max power output)
Chain squats: 11% increase in max power output ( up to 712 watts from 668 watts 3 weeks ago). New load parameters now 80# (from 65-75#)
Max bench for 5x5 rep scheme: got 5x5@95 with max watts 172 then did a 6th set at 100#; dropped off to 138 watts or something like that. So, appears that for a 5x5 max effort bench I'm at about 97#, which is up 12# from last time we tested it in mid-May.
Power cleans: Looks like I'm starting these at 80#. I have never done these properly, I think... had el diablo critique me to get all squared away to kick some ass in our SFM challenge.
This is some really exciting stuff for me. I am no novice, I've been lifting a long time, and to see these huge changes with just a little bit of speed/explosive training--I'm sold!
On the flip side, he pinched me at 15.2%--same as three weeks ago. Looks like I'm officially friggin stalled again.

Nice workout! I really need to get my power clean technique down too. The only time I tried them it was with the bar only. I have no idea where I should start.
To be stalled at 15.2% is not so bad.

A. Does he know you call him El Diablo?
B. When we're talking Power Cleans, it's the bar resting on the ground or in a rack that makes the bar at the same height as if it had 45lbs plates? Right?
C. Those are some good improvements in power output.
D. On the fat loss. Do you have a target as far as a date? Like a contest or something. Or, just wanting to be lean, lean, lean!

Tina, I don't know what half of that stuff means, but it sure sounds like you had a great workout. I'm glad you feel so good about it. You'll figure out a way out of the stall!!!

A: oh hell no. He might hurt me. He's little, but dude is TOUGH.
B: yes, I use oly bumper plates, starting from the floor.
C: thanks. I was surprised--el diablo told me they were newbie gains, that he would expect to see a 2-3% improvement once I adapt to this type of workout
D: no way, no how am I competing in Cali. I'll get killed. However, I could do an Iowa show or something... but I really DO just like being lean, lean, lean.
Jill, you are so right... I'm greedy. But DAMN. I want 13% again. I'll have it, too.
Lance--thanks--I am sure I have it in me to get a full wheel on that damned bar one of these days. I think I'll work toward 115# for now though.
Victoria--my trainer has a power measuring thing, it tells you how many watts you're generating based on speed of the concentric part of the lift, bar weight, your weight--it has been really interesting to do things more scientifically. I can actually SEE that I need a longer rest period than I normally take or I drop considerably in my power output. Fun toys.

I saw a show on FitTV recently which I was reminded of when I read your workout. It featured a pro beach-volleyball player and her training program using VERT techniques. I thought this is what you were doing in your workout but now that I look at it again, it doesn't look like the same thing. Anyway, I thought this VERT stuff looked unbelievable. I can totally see you getting into it!

I AM the gadget queen, LOL... I may actually buy one of these damned things (I think there was a thread on it a few months ago in maybe training section... research to follow) when I move, we'll see. It certainly gives me a lot of useful information!
So yesterday was refeed day. I had a normal breakfast, lunch with just some extra (rye bread yummmmmy) on top of what I normally would eat. A nice big bowl of oatmeal for a snack (well, proatmeal, really) and some CC with PB. Dinner was all fine n dandy--had a piece of spinach mushroom pizza, a 1/2 cup of black bean soup (not very good), a salad with balsamic vinaigrette at the whole foods cafe. So far, this was the most boring refeed ever... went to see Ratatouille last night and then hit Border's for a skim cappucino and a piece of PB pie (ehhhh... not bad, not great).
I really, really wanted a friggin cookie. Not a plate-sized one, but a normal sized cookie. APparently, they no longer exist. I went to the grocery, ended up buying a very small amount of brach's choco bulk candy, and then came home and ate TWO bowls of proatmeal at like 1130 pm.
Just... not very good, overall. Next week my refeed is the same day I am going bathing suit shopping, so that will most likely inhibit me a bit. I'm tired of refeeds in general. I feel like I *have* to do it, since I've been dieting for a while (like forever), but I don't enjoy them that much and I have yet to eat the damned curly fries I've wanted for weeks. Sigh.
This morning: 3 mile fartlek run/27:40; counted this as HIIT(took the roundabout way to Sbucks)
Walked home from starbucks 1.2 miles
Done
