Well I am glad that today's nutrition didn't count... ate extra oatmeal, almond butter, PB2, and crap today now feel like poopoo. Had soup and salad for dinner (mmm but with a ROLL, lol...).

I'm half way through the anger book. It's giving me some insights, but no coping mechanisms yet other than deep breathing. Give me a break! I need some behavioral modification, here....

Link to my compliance spreadsheet (will also be in my sig):

I hate summer in the South... are you a S Carolinian by birth, Vanessa?

Wow, Tina. Great start on this goal. And, before the challenge officially starts! Well, if you get through the rest of the book and still no coping mechanisms, you can always throw it to the floor and stomp all over it, then wring it in your hands before tearing it apart into a million pieces...all with a big on your face!

I like the way you think, Victoria.

Ugh. Here's the start after eating at maintenance with plenty of starchy carbs for 4 days:

wt 142.7 (up FOUR lbs from last week... nice)
waist 26.25
hips 36.25
left thigh 20.5

Workout this morning:

Box squat 115x5,125x5x4 Didn't feel strong enough for that last 10# dammit.

Good mornings 85x6-7/3
Scissor jumps 10/3
Bulgarian SS 8kg KBx6/3
Floor wipers oly barx20/3

Then some HIIT with BB swings, jump rope, farmers walks 2:00 intervals 20:00 total.

Total w/o time: 50 mins
Cals burned: 258

Today am decreasing the carbs with mainly fruit/veggies but still eating about 1800 calories. I will be interested to see how the scale responds and how quickly I progress after a week of resetting.

Nice workout ... don't sweat the scale ... there is no way you gained 4 lbs of fat in one week by eating at maintenance!!!

Make that FIVE.

Yeah, it's bloat. My measures aren't much different, so.... *shrug*
This is mentally very hard for me, though.

This morning: 25 min run with a friend. Hot and muggy and yellowjackets were swarming (have I mentioned my extreme fear of stinging insects? They are just, well.... demons. I'm sure of it) and although the temperature and the stinger-filled humid air sucked, I had a nice big americano at the end of it all, so well worth it!

I'm going to see Waitress today, looks worthwhile. Oh, term of the day:

"dick flick"

essentially the OPPOSITE of a chick flick, filled with car crashes and stuff blowing up and guns. Don't blame me, it's in the urban dictionary.

Oh, I see you're working on your vocabulary and overall wellbeing. Nice.

Tina, I absolutely know how mentally tough that phantom gain is ... it kills me too ... but you know that you are leaner and that it is just water. Step away from the scale ...

Jen - you make me laugh because you go from log to log commenting on food just like I do! You're a food ho!

It is one of the more enjoyable things in life to talk about -- much more exciting than the weather

This is my little beauty.

So, Waitress was OK. Slightly one-dimensional, and her husband in the movie was a complete asshole. There's a lot of pies depicted in it, so I would advise NOT going if you're hungry.

My day today was bueno. Food was perfect, ran, studied the obligatory one hour plus another two summarizing articles for board review. I will read some more anger management stuff when I jump into bed shortly.

G'night, all!

Tina
