There's this thing called 'sun block', dude. But go ahead and get your pre-tanning in so you look cool, but don't forget the sun block! (the dad in me speaks)

TANNING?!?
P.S. I'm one of the palest people in the world. In the ancient world it was a mark of the elite to have very white, pale skin. It showed that they didn't have to labour in the sun for work and were carried around in the shade by their slaves.

LMAO!
Ed, I don't have a clue what you look like, yet I can still see you, in your grand paleness, being carried around in one of those funny little....whatchmacallits!

Yes - it's true!!! Then came coal miners who where as white as ghosts so the elite decided to start burning their skin.

NROL Strength II, Upper Body;

88x4
88x4
77x8
77x12
B. DB Bench Press;
77x4
77x4
65x8
60x10 + x2 after a short break.
Ci. Lat Pulldown, 2x4; 220, 209Cii. Upper Body Russian Twist, 2x6/side; 22
D. Chin-up competition; First to 30...draw. First to 40...draw. : (
E. Shoulder Press;
50x4
50x4
44x12
Comments: Ramped it back up on the pressing motions and challenged myself. I'd never done 77's before but they felt pretty light, could have got a few more reps on each set at a push. DB Rowing felt better this week as well, the weight felt much more controlled and easier.
The chin-up competition my friend and I did was somewhat tiring, ha. We started off using distractions...which didn't help. Biggus Dickus was employed with great effect;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0nDbqvmo8c
We were aiming for 30 at first, at one point my friend was on 26 whilst I was on 24, I had the difficult task of making 6 reps to draw the race. I made it to 5 and was shattered, I hung there for a while and then grinded a mega rep out to clinch the draw and possibly the win if my friend couldn't make his 4 reps. Sadly, he did.
I wanted 10 more for a decider...we drew that as well, haha. While we were doing the military presses he turns round and says; "Are your arms dead?" To which I replied; "No, they're fine!" He turns back round, waits a few seconds and then comes back with; "Good, mine are too." Haha, such liars.

Thanks, Matt. Good work all round for you, too. Those front squats are coming along quickly! I don't like to comment on your chin-ups!

NROL Strength II, Lower Body;
A. Speed Deadlift;
198x4
198x4
198x4
220x2
B. Snatch-grip Deadlifts, 3x3; 242
Ci. BB Dynamic Lunge, 2x8/side; 143
Cii. Pull-through, 2x10; 154
D. Hanging Leg Raise, 2x6; BW
Ei. BB Bicep Curls, 2x10; 77
Eii. BB Tricep Extension, 2x10; 77
Comments: Solid workout, felt much better doing speed work rather than another heavy deadlift workout. Dynamic lunges were tough, hopefully next week I'll either get 10 reps/side or more weight x8, perhaps both! Other than that, a standard workout.
I'm quite enjoying work at the moment, I'm about to start writing an essay on Alexander the Great and the burining of the palace at Persepolis, a bit of warfare psychology in there which is interesting. I'm also going to write a research project on the Battle of Arginusae and the political ramifications over the holidays, which may be a bit of a bitch, but at least I'll enjoy it!

Hahaha, I kid, I kid! But my essays do, inevitably, OWN! That said, I never got those 10 marks back for handing one of them in late, though. Fuckers.
I look at it as a way of the university leveling the field since my essays are so classy!
Thanks, though!
