The Buchberger 12 seems to have some good reviews online. I wonder how it compares to Inside/Out in terms of the exercises.

Ooo, I never thought to look online for reviews. Good idea, thanks!
I do too. I don't have the money for I/O and I won't anytime soon unless I win the lottery or something. I could have asked for it for Xmas, and it would have replaced my nice coat, but oh well.
I need to take the time and type out all of the exercises. I was doing the modified blackburn (I think) without weights, and it's a bitch. No wonder my shoulders are about to fall apart.

The DVD is $35 and the manual is $15 for the Buchberger info at http://www.rotatorcuff.net/shop/category.asp?catid=1. I just ordered the Monster Mobility pack, but I may also order the Buchberger stuff in the spring for a comparison. I've had shoulder issues in the past, especially with bicipital tendonitis, so anything I can do to stave off problems will be great.
How are your shoulders responding to the Buchberger exercises?

That isn't bad at all. My ART guy burned me a copy, so we got it free.
I definitely feel it. I can tell that I've been doing something wrong, because I'm definitely fatigued in my rotator cuff area afterwards, and I'm just using bands, 3 lb dbs or nothing. They're slightly sore the evening after on the back of the shoulder capsule, and I sleep with my arm over my head, and I definitely feel it then. My left still clicks when I do the scapular pushups, and when I do the internal rotations (try to touch the opposite scapula with your thumb with the resistance band in your hand) I've found that my mobility is piss poor.

Glad to hear it works for you - sounds like the workouts are pretty tough if your shoulder was sore! When I had PT i don't think mine was ever really sore, and they had me doing a ton of different exercises. Right now I am just doing some physioball stuff (Y/T/W) along with the PB pushup plus, and some exercises from EC's shoulder saver articles.

My problem is making my shoulders do the movements independently. Especially with the movements that require three to four movements per rep, I have a tendency to want to use my traps (definitely the scapular retractions standing up; when I am horizontal to the floor, I'm fine).
I also definitely notice that my right scap is much stronger than my left. It's gotta be screwed up from baseball.

Happy New Year, Nick. Hopefully the shoulder situation gets resolved quickly and you're back in action. Well, in the gym at least.

Buchberger 12 Day 1
Pushups
3x15
Bent Over Rows
3x15 @ 145
Planks

Got the new year started off right. I hate New Year's resolutions, even though this whole thing started out as one, but I think I'm going to finally set some concrete goals and stick with them. I need to stop pulling a John Kerry. (insert bad political joke emoticon here)
Bobby: here's a plank.

Well, the right one was hurt playing football. That was the teres minor and major, but it's been pain free ever since the badass ART session before Christmas.
The left one is screwed up from 10 years of pitching without proper weight training. My subscapularis is extremely weak, and was told that I was in great danger of tearing my rotator cuff because it's so bad. So, hence the rotator cuff exercises. I've also noticed that my left scapula doesn't retract as far as my right one does.

Gym was crowded for about 10 minutes, then the weight room emptied out. Weird. Saw a whale with a femullet. That was sweet.

Looks interesting, but the name "Buchberger" just sounds like fast food.
I see you are mullet hunting again.

I wish I had a secret spy camera to capture some of the people at the gym. Yesterday's favorite I'll call "The Gym Pirate."
He was in good shape and seemed to know quite a bit of people, which is all the more strange for a guy wearing...
A red bandana that was open at the back, like a farm girl with long hair would wear.
A bright yellow tank top, emblazoned with "Hollister." I still don't get that.
Red to fuschia knickers. Yep. They are really sweats, but he has some that are cut off and some that he merely rolls up to just under the knees. They are very baggy and flair at the thighs. A fine look...
White ankle socks
Orange, red, and black shoes.
He also wears big and baggie yellow or blue zipper sweatshirts with hoods, when he comes in and warms up.
