Yes, that was my answer. I started to add "America" to my reply, but since this is not my log, I didn't want to do the big reveal. I thought the picture you chose of her is really striking.

Workout today: (without killer bunny slippers )
Crunches: 3 x 20
Reverse Crunches: 3 x 15
Leg Lifts: 2 x 12, 1 x 9
Supermans: 3 x 10
20 lb Kbell Complex
7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Overhead press
Tricep Extensions
Upright Row
Bent over Row
Curls
One Armed Floor Press: 2 x 10 x 35 lbs kbell
One Armed Bent Over Row: 3 x 12 x 35 lbs kbell
Curls: 3 x 15 x 25 lbs kbell
Core exercises didn't agree with me today.
The complex was enough but then I felt like going back for more.
I plan on doing my regular band workout tomorrow. I guess the extra lifts didn't make much sense.

I did something that I thought I should do today, but felt strange doing it.
My wife lost a child during her first marriage. I was her second marriage. Tomorrow is her child's birthday.
The child was only a month old when he died and my wife never really recovered from it.
This is an awful time of year for her.
Even though we have been separated more than a year, I sent her flowers and a sympathy card last year and this year.
She didn't respond last year and I don't expect her to this year, but I don't expect anyone else to do this. I used to take off work and take her to the grave site.
I feel kind of awkward, but I felt it was the right thing to do.

Good job. Empathy after all your history and your current situation speaks volumes.
I didn't know the Natalie chick but I agree, she fine. I loves me the brunettes.

Two things:
1) When I had my appendectomy five years ago, I went in for a wound check and as I was laying on the table the doc and I were conversing nicely until he abruptly ripped my wound open because it was closing too quickly on top and he didn't want to inclose infection. Yeah! Gross and OOOWWWW!
2) You did a very kind thing in sending flowers. When your heart is so convicted, in spite of the awkardness, you can bet you really are doing the right thing. Thumbs up!
Glad you're feeling better!! Keep that chin up!

oh now you've done it - how can you not know of Natalie Wood
oh wait - you were like 3 when she died (1981)
so many good movies:
Miracle on 34th Street (the little girl)
Splendor in the Grass
West Side Story
Brainstorm (in progress when she died)

It's not age. I mean, I was only like 5 in 81. I know who she is.

That speaks volumes about you as a person. I couldn't imagine going through something like that as a mother and to have someone recognize and remember that is a very kind thing to do.

Aoife and I are the same age, but I just didn't know that chick. Trust me, if I'd ever seen the the movie that greg posted a picture of, I'd know it. I have a pornographic memory.
