Have you fully adjusted to your prosthesis? I can't remember how long it's been ... 8 months?

I don't think you ever fully adjust. Your leg changes shape in the prosthesis and as it does, you require additional adjustments to make it fit. Prosthsies don't last forever, in fact, the more sophisticated they are, the shorter their lifespan. So I think adjustment will be a continuing process.

Well..having worn a brace on my right leg for 2 weeks.. My hat is off to you man. I certainly can't fully appreciate how hard you have to work. But those two weeks without bending my right leg was enough for me. I had to adjust almost every lift I did. Makes you very creative doesn't it?
Anyway. Hats off to you! U R 1 Tough Mo Fo. Respect.

It does. It also is interesting how people treat you. It brings out the best in some. Some ignore you. Some do worse.

True, I guess I just meant the compensations and ways of moving differently ...

I'm beginning to forget my cane. I'll get up and walk somewhere and forget to bring my cane. I guess that is an adjustment! I have adjusted. I see it mostly in things like forgetting my cane or, especially at the gym, where the adjustments for the lifts become second nature.

This is an old, probably Pennsylvania Dutch, tradition. Someone pulls you ears for each year of your age and one to grow on.

I was depressed. I have been for the past several days. It was hot and muggy and I needed a shower. So I went to the gym for the evening to perk up and not waste my shower. When I got there, the heat broke and there was an awesome thunderstorm to lift to.
Warmup: Nordictrak( because it was next to the window and I could watch the storm!) 10 minutes. (Extra warmup to watch the storm).
Tried something different: Kind of Starting Strength for Gimps as a break.
Leg Press: 220 x 5 (warmup)
265 x 5 x 3
Barbell Bench Press: (Feet on Bench)
115 x 5 (warmup)
135 x 5 x 2
135 x 3* (Failure Barbell started to go and I started to fall off bench!)
One armed Bent over Rows: 35 x 5 (warmup)
45 x 5 x 3
Close Grip Lat Pull: 110 x 10
100 x 10 x 2
Crunches 3 x 15
I rested 2 minutes between sets except about 5 minutes after last bench press. I was beat. I felt better and the shower was awesome!

Great workout, Greg. That thunderstorm must have provided awesome workout music! It's good to hear that your workout experience lifted your spirits..... I'm often amazed by what a good workout can do.

Sunday 2 x 20minutes on treadmill. I have a chest cold which made this very hard.
Today: AM 20 minutes on treadmill. Not any easier!
