Greg, I haven't visited your log up until now but I'll be a regular from now on, especially to a fellow challenger! You will prove to be a great inspiration to me. I'm sorry for what you are going though right now, but you've got plenty of support from these parts!

Good luck!!!

Thanks! I was feeling low today so I went for a walk. It is muggy out. 2.7 miles in 49 minutes. Felt pretty fast to me. I've been petting the cats alot today. I'm going to miss them.

My workout for the last two days has consisted of moving myself out of the house. Hard work watching my balance and carrying stuff up and down stairs.

Signed up for the gym today so I can do the 61 day challenge. I was somewhat dismayed. I had gotten spoiled by just going to the basement. Still there are more toys and until I get a job I can go when it is less crowded. I can also use an evercycle for cardio which should let me do intervals!

I will be using TNT diet type A. I figure that it will be great for fat loss and effective to control blood sugar levels.

Wow! This 61 day challenge has generated a lot of fitness log activity!

I started my program today. I went to the gym and familiarized myself with the setup. It's a lot different than getting a cup of coffee or glass of water and going to the basement.

Treadmill 2.5 mph at 2.2 elevation for ten minutes.

Testosterone Advantage Plan:

Leg Press
1 x 20 x 100
1 x 15 x 200
1 x 15 x 200
Machine Chest Press
1 x 15 x 70
1 x 12 x 90
1 x 10 x 90
Leg Curl
1 x 38 x 20
1 x 46 x 15
1 x 46 x 15
Underhand Lat Pull
1 x 46 x 20
1 x 72 x 20
1 x 72 x 20
Leg Extension
1 x 38 x 20
1 x 46 x 15
1 x 46 x 15
Lat Raise
1 x 12 x 20
2 x 15 x 15
Step Ups
3 x 15 x BW
Machine Row
1 x 120 x 15
2 x 140 x 15
Crunch
3 x 15
Back Extension
1 x 10
1 x 9
1 x 8
Triceps Pushdown
1 x 34.5 x 20
2 x 46 x 12

I did not absolutely kill myself on this. I was just trying to make sure I could get through the exercises at a weight I could handle.
Several of the exercises will take some getting used to. The machine leg curls and leg extensions and the back extensions pull on my prosthesis.
I did the leg extensions and leg curls in rehab so it's just a matter of getting used to the machine.

I slipped on the steps earlier and got a nice brush burn on my leg so it made things that much more pleasant when I started to sweat.

My diet is good so far. It usually is on the first day.

Well back to moving out.

Today I was pleasantly sore except for my brush burn. I was depressed so I went for a walk. 2.7 miles up and down hill over 56 minutes.

Diet is surprisingly easy so far. Going to figure out Ogs Google Spreadsheet today.

Greg, your progress continues to be very inspiring. You have really made some amazing improvements and changes. I'm really sorry that you are having to deal with a separation as an additional life change on top of everything else - I hope time apart will help work out things for the best for both of you.

I try not to get upset about it. I didn't leave her through cancer and it's hard not to think she's abandoning me. However, I'm now in a position where I can get a job and I can take care of myself.

Yesterday's eating plan:

1716 calories
Fat 90 grams 48%
Carbs 29 grams 7%
Protein 189 grams 45%

I think I can stick with this.

The fats were eggs, olive oil- mostly good fats.

We're behind you Greg! The TAP workout looked great and I am glad you are enjoying the TNT diet. It is serving me well also. I'll be checking in. Feel free to pm me anytime.....

What are the good things about the gym you are going to?

The good things are that it has equipment that allows me to train in ways that are beyond my basement gym. The bad thing is that it can be crowded and you have the social butterflies who hog a section of the gym without actually working out.

Sunday, I moved, rested and ate. Still able to maintain diet.

Monday:

NuStep 15 minutes average 164 steps.

Leg Press: 1 x 20 x 118
2 x 15 x 200
Machine Chest Press: 1 x 20 x 70
1 x 14 x 90
1 x 12 x 90
Leg Curl 3 x 20 x 54
Underhand Lat Pull 1 x 20 x 63.5
2 x 15 x 77.5
Leg Extension: 1 x 20 x 50
1 x 20 x 55
1 x 20 x 60
Lat Raise: 1 x 20 x 12
2 x 15 x 15
Step UPs 3 x 15 x BW
DB Bent Over Row: 1 x 30 x 20
2 x 40 x 15
Crunch 3 x 20
Back Extension 3 x 10
Triceps Pushdown 1 x 20 x 34.5
2 x 15 x 54
