Default No Bull Training.

Hey all, this is where me and Kevin(outta_town) are going to start posting our training log since we are both to stubborn and lazy to bring pen and paper to the gym. This will be our 4rth week of our program. Main goals are getting as strong as possible while steadily gaining weight. As for the name, I am currently working on a side project called www.nobulltraining.com, look for it to be launched as early as December.

Our current stats are as followed.
Steven- 5'8'', 20 years young, 172 lbs
Kevin- 5'8'', 20, 151.

We just finisehd 6x3 week and now are currently on week 4, 3-4x10.

As for this week for me it goes as followed.

9/10
Incline Barbell superset with Bent over Barbell rows.
145x10 145x10
165x10 155x10
175x10 165x10
185x8 165x9

Weighted dips super with dumbell rows.
195x10 70x10
195x10 80x10
195x10 90x10
195x10 90x10

9/11
Squat ass to grass

235x9

Bulgarian split squat super with barbell step up

9/13
Seated barbell military super pull ups

9/15 is deadlift day and im sayin it now so i have to perfom it.

We decided to go today early in the most random of fashion. Unfortunately after my deads i was too spent to do anything else but i did manage to increase my 10 rep dead by 90 lbs in 3 weeks!

9/14
Deadlift
315x10
325x10
345x10
365x10

high pulls from the ground
100x10

at this point i couldnt do anything else atfer the deads but i was very happy with my lifts. Up one pound to 173 today. My deadlift progress is begining to scare me. Fresh off my SC joint injury 10 weeks ago i was repping 225x5...and today 365x10 on my 4rth set. This is it for 10 rep week. My next workout will be 5x5, kevin still has one more in the ten rep i beleive. The best part was not the weight or the amount of reps we lifted today. But having everyong at the gym stop what they are doing to watch 2 kids who weigh a buck 50 and 70 playing with such weight.

Thanks mahler, I gues im my own worst critic cause im not impressed. The rate of improvement is to me though. Ive gained 5 lbs on the scale but 90 lbs on a 10 rep attempt. Posting it again now in advance to make sure i do it. one week from now on 5x5 i want to start with 405. then 6x3 week 455. Ill be extremely pissed if i dont hit 500 before i weigh 180. And I guess kev is too busy at work to post his dead so ill do it.

I also did the following before I was too tired for life...
High pulls superset w/ static lunges.

The last time I did 4x10 deadlifts 4 weeks ago I finished my last set with 225.

Went to the gym today and did vertical push/pull. It was a long weekend so I had to fight the fatigue. Anyways, here's how it went.

Thanks guys. Strength gains are commin quick while the scale is a long road. Tonight is squat 5x5 so hopefully we will have some good numbers later. Im hopin to finish with 265. My squas seem to be laggin the most so im really trying to hit them with full intesity.

last day of 5x5s for me. Deads tonight. I get nervous every time i walk up to the bar. I love it. Hopin to rep 4 plates tonight. Decided to stop using straps after next week and will work on gettin my raw dead to match the deads of next weeks 6x3. Anyone know where i can get some chalk?

First time hitting failure on deads. Made me feel sick to my stomach so i called it a day and jsut spent a good amount of time finishing my workout with core work. Takin the weekend off. Need to clear my head before thsi next heavy week.

I guess on the plus side i found out i can lift 315 without straps n without an over under grip on my warmups. Feels like the bar will slip right from my fingers on the way down heh. crazy to think how just a simple change of hands can really affect the amount of weight you can hold. Thinkin of adding farmer walks week after next to get my grip up.
