Yesterday's workout since I couldn't post it!

No squatting etc yet, my trainer came to keep an eye on me. I was told to go easy and no squats of any kind, no deads etc, you get the idea.
So upper body it is at least its something, and core work!

Latpull downs- 80lbs/12; 90lbs/12; 100lbs/10
db bench press- 30lbs/10; 35lbs/10 x 2 (each hand)
pull ups- 8; 6; 5; 5
flys- 20lbs/12; 25lbs/12; 25lbs/10 (each hand)
dips- 12; 12;10
crunches- 50lbs/12 x 3
reverse crunches- 50lbs/12 x 3
planks- 1.5 mins; 1.25 mins

Done. Was good to lift a almost decent amount of weight finally!!
Tomorrow I may be able to do some lower body stuff. My back is feeling pretty damn good today now I can't screw up and set myself behind again! So slow and eay it goes!

Damn, Jen. Those pullups and dips caught my attention. Nice going. On the road to recovery and making great progress.

Nice work, Jenn. It looks like you're well on your way toward recovery... even if your trainer won't let you DL!

I thinks so too. My back feels almost 100% now, so I hope to get DLing soon. Hope by the end of the month. Lifting this morning so I am going to do some bw lower body stuff just to see how it feels. Update later.

Great job Jenn...you are one hard-working girl! Look forward to your logs a month from now when you're back to kicking butt on the deads and squats!

Thanks Bob!

Thanks Fin! I can't wait to be squatting and dead lifting again too. Tonight I think I am going to do some walking lunges and steps ups with bw only. Just to keep things moving and the blood flowing, I think it will help the healing process and keep me loose.

Wow I haven't posted in forever!! So a little update. My back is feeling great, but still not doing weighted squats ore deads, no doing anything that puts downward pressure on the back. For how long? A couple more weeks anyway, my instructs are that the nerves need 6 to 8 weeks to heal fully. So thats a plan.

I have been working way too much, they fired a couple ppl and the rest of us have to pick up the slack. So here is Jenn burnt out! I am sooo tired and haven't been eating exactly as much or as often as I should. I run on 4 - 5 hours sleep. All my focus has been on being sharp at work and taking care of my patients, and my children. October is a busy month- the track closes at the end of the month so the horses are tired and sore= more accidents; my sons birthday is on the 21st; halloween is coming (and I work til 5 then rush home to go out with the kids); there are visits to the pumpkin patch and pumpkin carving to be done; decorating and such to do. Too busy!!

To top things off I got stung by a bee at the beginning of my shift. I had a weird reaction and today my arm is still swollen and red and really sore and itchy. Stupid bee! Can't take Benadryl bc it makes me sleepy. The payroll people forgot to send my cheque so this am I have to drive over and get it. Arrrgggg!! I am hoping to make it to the gym while the boys are in school today, if not more at home w/o's Oh yes and I worked while I had the flu too, had no choice, there was no one else.

So yep its be fun but things should slow down at the end of the month (I hope)! That is all
