Sat July 15

Did a quick run today, felt much better than yesterdays run. I have decided to go lower carb during the week (mostly veggies and meat), and more carbs on the weekend (adding sandwiches and oatmeal). I have thinned out a bit more since ridiing the bike, going lower carbs and adding some more calories (from around 1300-1500 to 23-2500). We will see how this goes for a while.

I'm not motivated either. Ate like crap last week, worked my ass off, and did B on Friday, yet I haven't posted it. Only two more weeks of hell though. Maybe I'll get Tuesday off.

And it's going to be over 100 for the next five days. Gotta love working at a pool.

Side planks: 3 @ 30 seconds (each side)

Superset B

One-arm elevated pushups 3x12 (each side) 12,12, 12* (last was 12 one side then 8, 4, the other)

I am really finding the pull-up/ chins up hard, especially on my recent sleep deprived schedule)

END of week 1 ( my firts week was only two crummy workouts and there was a break while I was disneyland so I decided to call this week one, and ignore the tune ups)

It's the heat....

Although, I'm not sure what the weather is like where Peter is.

I'm looking to kick some ass this afternoon with WOA.

Hey buddy boy, you come down here and work in the 100 degree heat and 60% humidity for 7 hours and you'll change your mind pretty quick.

Ladies, please calm yourselves. To put things in perspective, when I worked out on Friday it was 34.5 degress C (or about 94.1 deg F) at 75% humidity. Mind you summer in not quite here in full force. On Monday, it rained so humidity was up in the 85-90% range but it was a cool 31.5 or 88.1 deg F

Quit bitching, start lifting. What is log called? The ladies hit the beach? Oh heaven forbin it should be hot at the beach- come on guys!!! get with it!!

Workout A (Week 3 - Monday, July 17/06)

Superset A
Wide-grip pullups (b/w only): 3x8
Side planks: 3 @ 70 seconds (each side) (+10 secs)

Superset B
Chinups (b/w only): 12, 12, 10+2 (+2 reps before failure on 2nd & 3rd sets)
Bench: 3X8@165 (+10)

Superset C
Seated wide-grip cable row: 3X12@110
One-arm elevated pushups 3x12 (each side)

I was pretty pleased with the chinups this time. For the first time, I managed the full 12 reps in the 2nd set and increased from 8 to 10 reps before failure in the 3rd set. AND I pushed up the bench by 10 too, which was tough - almost didn't make the last couple of reps in the 3rd set. Had to swear at the bar to get it to move! All in all, not too shabby. (On the diet front, went camping over the weekend and ate like sh*t. Man, there goes my cheat meal allocation for the year!! There is some food value in toasted marshmallows though, right? )
