The show kicked serious ass! When I got there, the Deftones were just getting started. They were ok… I haven’t heard them before, so I didn’t know any of their songs. Then Stonesour played. They jammed, but I would have like them to be a bit more Slipknotish. When Korn came on, everyone went nuts! 30,000 people, jumpin in unison, screaming at the top of your lungs without hearing being able to hear yourself… it was freakin awesome! When they played Blind, I got goose bumps! Saw a few people get split open in mosh pits... blood, mud, and metal! YEAH!!
The freaks really came out. I've never seen so many drunk goths in my life! The scary thing is, some of the chicks were hot! HAWT!!! I'll bet I was the only sober person there... if it was on a Friday, I woulda got toasted, but since I had to work today, I figured it was going to be challenging enough just functioning on 3 hours sleep - didn't need to be hung over to boot.
AAAAand, after the show was over, they ran a deal for Godsmack/Rob Zombie... $10 a ticket, so I bought 4! That one's on a Tuesday... what happened to having concerts on Friday??

It must be some Americanism, I don't have a clue what that bender's on about...
Steve, I sat there and looked at 380 for a sec and thought that it wasn't that much more than 325, then I converted it to kg's and almost crapped myself...f*ck me! Great lift, dude!

Haha I'm glad you liked it. I came up with that one when I was drunk a few years ago... right in the heat of the "Oh snap" craze.
Ed, FYI saying "Oh Snap" is something like saying "holy shit"... only not offensive and totally cheezy.

Very impressive work these last couple of days. How were those numbers for you on the power cleans? They look pretty mighty...

Yeah, in like a year or two!
That is one of my goals though. By my 30th birthday, I want a 5 plate dead, 4 plate squat, and 3 plate bench. That leaves me 1 year and 1 month.

8/29/06 - Full body RE
Foam roller, dynamic stretching, and mobility. 15 minutes
*Workout*
PL squats
3x15x185
Conventional deads
3x15x185
Calf press on leg press sled
3x50x585
Decline DB bench
3x15x55's
Pulldowns
3x15x100
Another grueling high rep day... but it was friggin awesome! I love the pump I feel after a high rep set. Squats felt good. Did them PL style, feet outside shoulder width, below parallel on every rep. All the benches were being used, so I opted for the decline DB, which was a good change of pace.
My workout partner Neil and I did our dynamic stretching and mobility work on the basketball court... while a bunch of guys played a full court game, and a bunch more sat on the wall. We got some questioning looks and I'm sure we got a chuckle or two. I didn't care though... I have yet to see anyone else at my gym go thru a proper warm up or use a foam roller.
