Good workout, but it ran longer than I woulda liked. Really need to start monitering my rest periods. Rarely go over 90 seconds, but with this many sets, the workouts are taking for ever. Gave Milkman's BSRDLs a try... those things kicked my ass! Glutes, low back, hips - all got some work.

You like the BSRDL's? Man those things are so painful by the last few reps... I have to go do them now, actually

By the way, that's a beast of a workout. Nice work

8/5/06 - Lower ME day
6-7 minutes dynamic stretching and mobility. 5-6 minutes foam roller
*Workout*
Squats
workup sets
1x10x135
1x6x185
1x3x225
1x2x275
Box squat work sets
1x1x295
1x1x305
3x1x315

SLDLs
1x10x135
1x6x175
1x3x195
1x2x205
Work sets
1x1x215
1x1x225
3x1x235
1x8x235

Calf press on leg press sled
3 x shitload x 375
1 x shitload x 735

Awesome workout today! Squats felt pretty good. Box squats felt awesome. Today, instead of doing them touch and go, I actually sat all the way down, relaxed my glutes, hips, and quads, the exploded up. Calves definitely good a good workout... the 735 was done with the pumping action I like so much. It's odd how a short rage of motion with a lot of weight activates the calves.

Unlucky on the bench but a solid workout nonetheless!

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed, but I've been going for maxes for weeks. I think I just need to change up my progression a bit and lift near maximal weights for reps.

As Ed said, good workout. Too bad the bench didn't happen. Maybe wave loading might help?

You'll get 250 soon. No doubt.

8/8/06

Instead of doing an RE day, I did Tae Bo Advanced. It used to be easy for me, but it kicked my ass! My cardio endurance has dropped somewhat. Once I get to my goal weight, I'll kick the HIIT up a bit to build back up. Weighed in at 191 today.
