Piling on the pounds faster than a fat man over a cupcake!
Since my exams are coming to a close soon I thought it would be a good idea to start up a new log which I'll keep going until the end of the Summer holidays.
I'm going to start lifting again on the 8th of June after a little over a weeks break, I'll be following Waterbury's Bodybuilding's Next Frontier routine whilst incorporating a fair amount of HIIT and steady state cardio (up until the latter stages) topped off with a fair few calories to boot!
I currently stand at 6'3, 185lbs at around 11% bodyfat but that is going to change! I want to increase my weight to at least 200lbs while maintaining or lowering my bodyfat over the holiday period (early June to early October).
Hopefully a program that I have already had success with, cardio and plenty of rest will allow me to thoroughly change and improve my body composition.
Here's me, stepping it up a notch!

Saturday 3rd June;
10 minutes of Mobility drills and 3 or so minutes of light jogging.
20 minutes of HIIT sprints; initially alternating between sprints and jogging but as I got more fatigued I swapped out some of the jogging for walking.
Comments;
Only the 2nd time I've done HIIT but I found it slightly easier than the first session, still gruelling but very rewarding! My cardio-vascular system is something that needs alot of work.

Good luck on the training. I'll be peeking in from time to time.

Thanks Mahler and Milk!
So far so good thanks but as ever exams are...boring and revision is last minute; especially when the exams don't actually count towards the final degree! Having said that I'm completely zonked out today, been revising most of it! World of Late Antiquity; Diocletian, Constatine, Constantius, Constans- they're all the same! ARGGGGGH!

Sunday 4th June;
10 minutes of Mobility drills and 3 or so minutes of light jogging.
HIIT sprints, went a little further and included a couple more sprints today, that did come at the expense of a few more walks but it felt like progress!
Comments;
Managed two days in a row because tomorrow is an exam day, bleh, but it wasn't a problem! Enjoying it more as time goes by...

I'm not entirely sure about all the American terms but I'm doing a Bachelors in Ancient History, a 3 year course.

Hey good luck on the move into high frequency. I'll be following in your footsteps as I'm going to start doing a lot more conditioning work, along with the last two stages of Scrawny to Brawny.
I'll be with ya on this one. Good luck.

Thanks Galya! I'm doing a form of carb cycling, on the days where I lift and do a little cardio I eat the most, off days I eat the least and on days where I just lift or just do cardio I eat a moderate amount.
Since I literally just finished my last exam and stocked my fridge with all the food I need (for now) I figure I'll post my intentions for the next few days to keep me honest and motivated;
8th June;
AM: Day 1 BB Next Frontier
PM: Steady state cardio, 20 minutes. Calories; 3700.
9th June;
AM: Day 2 BB Next Frontier Calories; 3500.
10th June;
AM: HIIT sprints, 20 minutes. Calories; 2850.
11th June;
AM: Day 4 BB Next Frontier
PM: Steady state cardio, 20 minutes. Calories; 3700.
12th June;
AM: Day 5 BB Next Frontier. Calories; 3500.
13th June;
Off Calories; 2500.
14th June;
HIIT sprints, 20 minutes. Calories; 2850.

Atta boy! I've been waiting to see you get back to business. Now we can unofficially compete from across the pond once again

Haha, my 1000 calorie diet was a little handicap for me in our competition! Now that you've got me on the deadlift I guess I've been forced to ramp up the calories and take you down!
*edit* Shit, big talk, I better do something good tomorrow!

Nice going Ed
Am not sure if HIIT is part of the routine but I found sticking a long steady state run in between HIIT days helped with endurance and speed on both
Just a thought

Thanks BFG,
Yeah, this is my first week and running is relatively new so I'm starting out with this and will progress as time goes by to slightly longer runs or slightly harder sprints/shorter rests.
By the time phase 5 of the weight lifting comes (8 sessions a week) I think my recovery abilities will be improved from what they were last time I did this routine, I look forward to seeing/feeling the difference.
