Goals: Shed Body Fat, be able to fit into size 32' pants comfortably by ? - I don't have a timetable, preferably by my 5 year wedding anniversay on May 27 but that's a dream maybe, we'll see.

Welcome to the logs and good luck with your goals. Our stats are very close (except the age ). It's good you are working on 'dem love handles' early because the older you get, the harder they are to get rid of! I'm in my second week of HGM...hopefully that will help me burn some fat.

Edit: Oh and congrats on the new kid!

I've done TBT and am currently doing it now. Although this time around I'm trying to put on weight. It's a solid program.

I've heard nothing good about the Abs diet workout. Bill Hartman is as solid as it comes you and he participates that is worth its weight in gold.

You might also want to consider the first phase of HGM it's also solid.

Thanks.. TBT is what I'm aiming for, and since I'm looking for body fat loss, I'll just decrease rest periods and of course my diet will need to be cleaner and eating below maintenance.

HGM seems good too, somethign I can use for long term once I've done the initial drop in body fat. Abs Diet workout is pretty basic and not exactly the best, it was just something I saw at the bookstore.

If you're looking to drop bodyfat, it may be just as valuable to provide an insight as to what you are eating as your workouts - calories, macro breakdown, etc. Let others review that as well.

Just a thought.

Well Ive done the type of workout workouts that Bill is referring to written by my trainer who is, or should I now say was the Fitness editor for the Mens Health UK site. You can download them for free off of here and diet plan to match. Everyone who has followed them to the letter has lost shedloads of weight and they are quick and efficient and will fit in with your dad lifestyle. So I would highly reccomend them.

I would dispute the comment re free weights to machines. IMHO a good routine contains a combination of both. In todays busy chain gyms it is also extremely practical to utilise a combination when working to maintain a high heart rate thus negating additional CV.

BFG, can you point to a link for the diet plan to match the workouts Bill H' prescribes?
