Default 20 Days

20 Days

I know it's shallow, but I want to I want to be at my best for the summit. There might be cameras or something. Someone might even find out what I look like...

So, 20 days left. Back to counting calories and actually planning what I eat.

I've done a fine job of managing my workouts down to the smallest detail over the past few months. I've lost some fat and gotten bigger and stronger, too. I'm actually up about 5 lbs!

But, now it's time to knuckle down. Fat loss only, from today on.

Here's the plan. Low carb, all the time, with the exception of around the workout. At workout time, I'll start my workout drink, finish up with my PWO shake, then one more P+C meal. Usually chili, since I workout in the PM. Then, if I still need to eat again, back to low carb.

So, I've got my Palm all fired up with my CalorieKing Diet Diary, ready to log my intake, just to keep myself honest and on track.

Here are my staples. Velocity Diet shakes, fish oil capsules, eggs, meat, almonds, sunflower seeds, and veggies. I will eat actual food, but use 2-4 V Diet shakes per day to fill in the gaps.

I'm still 6'1" (just measured) and starting off at 189lbs. Despite having less fat, my Tanita has actually gone up, yet again! 15%? Yeah right? Out the window! A month and a half ago and one belt hole fatter, it said 13%. Go figure...

Default 19 Days

1st day down, 19 to go.

The weekends are tough for me. I'm ALWAYS wanting to eat, eat, eat in the evening. During the week, I workout in the evening, so there's no snacking possible. Weekends are when I blow it. But not Saturday. I'm sticking it out, today, too.

Yesterday's food.

Calorties 1770, P 211g, F 73g, C 74g, Activity 0

Food: 4 shakes, two meals of meats and veggies, some almonds, and 20 delicious fish oil capsules. Iced mint/green tea, coffee, Diet Coke, and water.

I don't track my exercise calories, except to know which days I do which sorts of activities. Yesterday was a big zero.

Don't feel bad, LD. I am motivated by the same thing .... diet is strict from here on in! Let's revel in our shallowness.

Default 18 Days

18 Days

So far, so good. I haven't blown it yet.

Yesterday was good. I finished the day on track. 1800 cals. No exercise. Fishing and watching Star Wars on DVD with my son all day.

Today, I'm on track to finish just fine. Looking forward to a workout in a few hours.

It's so much easier not to eat badly (or between meals) when I'm working.

LD, you've inspired me. Just made my lunch for tomorrow and, for the first time in a long time, I measured everything out and will input it into my fitday log tomorrow. 18 days. Yikes.

Tonight I had no workout, so this is what I did.

DB Swings, 10x55lbs, 10x65lbs, 10x75lbs

DB Snatches, 4x75lbs, 2x85, 2x85, 1x90, 1x90, 2x85, 2x85, 4x75, 4x75

Seated Calf Raises, 4x6 @ 180lbs
Reverse Wrist Curls, 4x10 @ 30lbs

Treadmill Sprints/Intervals

I'm trying to get my DB Snatches up to 100lbs. It's amazing how much difference between 85 and 90 lbs. But, two weeks ago, I couldn't get the 85 pounder up more than once (and barely).

I forgot. I also tried those T Rows that Mahler and Galya like to do (not together ). They are tough.

T Rows, 3x10 @ 12lbs
DB Pushups, 120 dumbells

I guess I did some situps, too. 50 of them.
