Thanks for keeping such a detailed and easy to read log John. I'm about to finish up Fat Loss I and this log has been a big help in both reference and inspiration. Thank You ...
I have 3 WO's left and then it's a week off to golf in Pinehurst NC. This log will help me jump right back into Fat Loss II when I return....

Mahler, I've been lurking within this thread for a couple of weeks now. I've got to say that your progress in such a short period of time has been AMAZING! Congratulations on the weight loss AND the stregth gains. To lose that much weight in 3 weeks, while getting stronger is truly amazing... Good work!

NEW RULES OF LIFTING: FAT LOSS III
Book by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove
ASSESSMENT
Day 20 - April 1, 2006
Weight: 177 (-1.2)
Last night was dinner and dancing. Not planned that way, but a celebration of sorts for me for finishing the Fat Loss Programs. And I lost some weight to boot.
Today is a rest day, which means I will bust my ass doing work around the house. I took a break and logged on to find a message from Alwyn Cosgrove. His assessment of my log and results is as follows:
Excellent results with the fat loss phases John!
I expect that, based on your strength increases (for reps) that you have likely gained AT LEAST 3-5 lbs of muscle over the last 12 weeks.
So, conservatively, you have switched your body composition by 12-15lbs.
Great job. I'm proud of you.
AC
Comments:
My friends, it doesn't get any better than this. To know that the person who designed the program has been looking at my training logs and then to provide his personal assessment, is simply awesome. Alwyn and Lou are the epitome of what is best in the fitness arena and I cannot thank them enough for their work in providing good, solid information, for their hands on method in dealing with the public and their accessibility; and for the encouragement that this all provides.
I am further amazed by the attention that my training logs have gotten in the past several weeks. The number of views they have gotten in the short period of time that I have posted them is, to me, truly motivatiing. I am sure that a few are following my daily progress just to see that the Prime Motivator is not just all talk, via the MMMM. I trust that I have not disappointed and thank you all for your daily motivation. All I can say is, you ain't seen nothing, yet.

Swing ( damn, they played "In The Mood" and it was a blast)
Cha-Cha
Waltz
Rhumba
Some Fox Trot, but this is our least favorite and we tend to sit out most of them.

Measurement
NEW RULES OF LIFTING: FAT LOSS III
Book by Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove
OFF DAY
Day 21 - April 2, 2006
Weight: 178.6 (1.6)
Activity: Running the Neighborhood (first time outdoors this year)
Time: 9:30 AM
Distance: 2.5 miles
Duration: 22 min. 23 sec. (includes 2 min. warm-up/2 min. cool down)
Push-ups with legs elevated: 1 x 35 x B
Measurment:
This morning I pulled out the calipers and did my post program measurements. I use Accumeasure and have compared the measures to the standard 3 point and 7 point measures and found them to be very accurate.
Body Fat: 9.3 %
Comments:
Considering that my BF was 11% prior to the Christmas holidays, and probably went up higher before starting the program, a conservative estimate of a loss of almost 2% Body Fat is very good and seems to verify Alwyn's assessment (see yesterday's log). I am extremely pleased with the program thus far and in good shape for the JPFitness Summit this weekend. Look out Little Rock, here I come.

Great work Mahler. You can't be too upset about slight gains in weight with that kind of drop in the recent bodyfat percent. And also with the weights you have been pushing around.
It is great that the weather is turning in favor of more outdoor activities, good for fitness, god for the mind, good for life!
See you in Little Rock!

I loved the typing error, or was it a Freudian slip? "god for the mind."
It truly is.

I caught that while I was typing it, and "thought" I fixed it; it must have been otherwise inspired?

John congrads on the fat loss workouts. Can't believe you pulled out 4x10x225 in FL3, thats awesome. I thought FL3 was going to be light weights now i have to match that.
I'm looking forward to tracking your strength workouts as that might be the direction i travel as well.
