I've never been in the cool crowd, Gabe. Some things never change.
I loved your typo in "Bulgarian Spit Squats". That's EXACTLY how I feel about them too!

I'm sticking by the statement that I type like an illiterate 3rd grader. I'm trying though. I need to get better. You'd never guess I went to grad school the way I spell.
Since I've started doing them I've noticed how unstable my leg is going up. My foot really wants to rock back and forth before going up. I need to ask Bill about this.

I really hit it good this morning. I had no issue on my deads and my bench went up great. I even added the extra set as per the program. I am getting concerned that I have an issue in my right shoulder or left hip. It's not horrible but I am weaker on the right and my left leg is unloading on my squats. I'm a month out to Vegas with friends. Time for some clean living. I'll post my log when I get it out of my truck before lunch.

Here is the workout from yesterday. I'll take measurements later this week. It's been 2 months. I'm interested to see how things have been treating me. My weights have been going up and my strength has been increasing.
I've set a short term goal for myself. I'm going to Vegas in June for a Friends 40th birthday. The goal is to get in as best of shape as possible. The plan so far is to cut for week or two so that I knock a little of the fat off the abs and then go back to maintenance. I also need to get outside and knock some of the translucency out of my skin.
5/1
A1: Deadlift 1 x 5 @ 160, 3 x 5 @ 165
A2: Lying Tricep Extension 4 x 5 @ 165
B1: Flat Bench Press 4 x 5 @ 140
B2: Pullups 4 x 5 @ BW
C1: Seated Military Press 4 x 5 @ 40
C2: Front Dumbbell Raises 4 x 5 @ 20

I wish. Damn it! It's a typo it's supposed to be 35 lb dumbbells. For the record to date I haven't ever used a bronzer.

Hi Deserve,
I just started doing the split squats last week. I have a little trouble with my balance. That's something i've been working on..

Today sucked. Not only did I get a late start but I seriously did something in my tricep. The discomfort started on Monday but I was able to finish all my sets. Today I couldn't get past the first one before I was done.
I'll give it some rest for the week and if it doesn't get any better I'll see the MD as recomended by another poster. I've also got a picture off the web where I circled the pain. It 's actually a little lower than that but you get the general area.
5/3
A1: Deadlift 4 x 8 @ 160
A2: Lying Tricep Extension 4 x 8 @ 35 (single arm see above)
B1: Flat Bench Press 1 x 8 @ 135, 3 x 5 @ 135
B2: Pullups 1 x 8 @ BW, 3 x 5 @ BW
C1: Seated Military Press 2 x 8 @ 35, 2 x 8 @ 30
C2: Front Dumbbell Raises 4 x 8 @ 15

I really like doing them. I use the single leg work to build up some of the imbalances I have which is limiting my ability to squat. It's good you are doing them now. Get the balance working and you can move to the full BB Squat and minimize your chance of getting hurt. Not to plug the JP's summit but Hartman was really good. He gave me a lot to think about.

I hope it that's the case as well. In the above list of exercises what should I avoid? Obviously the tricep extensions.

as an un-informed person...I'd say it might be best to stick to lower body\core (without pulling things) work untill next week. missing a workout or two isn't going to kill your progress and the 5 days to heal might be the difference in an "owie" and an injury. but do whatever you think is best

I can't start to guess at what may be wrong, but can only hope that it heals up quickly and doesn't become anything serious. Be carefull with it, but like Gobbla says, there are always other things to work on in the mean time.

That's what I need are some things to work in the mean time. Any suggestions. It is still sore to the touch today which leads me to believe that I'm in for a long recovery.

I've decided I'll park TBT and let my arm heal for a couple of weeks. In the mean time I'll do a CT ab program to keep moving. Don't get me wrong I'll still do some work but I'm going to dance lightly around the arm.

Gabe,
Give it the rest it needs. See the doc if the pain persists. It might be minor but no use taking chances. Heal and lift another day. Lower body and core work seem in order for the time being.
