There is never anything on a hotel dining room menu that seems to fit a good eating plan. I know what you mean. Good to see you are determined to board the wagon again. That's the reason you "Deserve Victory."

Yikes...It's been 3 days since I've inputed anything and a week since I worked out. Here's what's been going on. I was out of town all last week. Of course there was no access to a gym and the food was horrible on the body. I did get the work out in today. I'm not really up any weight but I feel as flabby as a 148 lbs guy can get.

Workout B ( 3 sets unless noted)

Superset 1
Deadlift 8 @ 200 using a cable machine
Core Hold 60 secs per leg

Superset 2
Reverse Lunge 12 @ 30
Decline Situps 12 @ 40, 12 @ 35, 12 @ 30

Pushup 20, 15, 15, 8

In the 2 times I've done this workout I've been queasy 2 times. I need to keep pushing myself. June is coming and I want to be ready. The challenge for this month is to get the work in around all the travel the wife and I are doing for work. Week 1 didn't go well. I need to rebound and move forward.

Tis a short but sweet workout

Do you look at doing much body weight stuff when ya cant get access to a gym? Have a great book here the Warior Way which some people swear by as the best way ?

Nice log, Gabe! Keep up the hard work and you'll eventually get there. Just remember that nutritional is easily half the battle!

Body weight is a good question. Interesting academic exercise would be to think about what body weight exercises replace weighted excercises in this set.

So far today has been good. I need to eat a little more regularly but it has all be clean. Reading this log is like good old fashioned guilt. It reminds you of the promises you made.

I got some measurements for the month. There is a little error in the chest but I can't seem to get it right. I've been at 39 for almost 3 months. Overall I trended downward but I've come to except some variability from month to month.

Chest 38.00

Abdomen 31.38
Hips 36.25
R Thigh 21.00
L Thigh 20.75
L Calves 13.25
R Calves 13.75

Interesting measurements, Gabe. You have quite a big neck for a guy your size. And your abdomen is smaller than your waist. Certainly the opposite of most, I would think. Nice to have a start-of-year benchmark, eh? Where do you want to be by year-end?

It was a cut and paste error. You can flip those 2 numbers. I'll make an allowance that the neck measurement could be wrong. Depepending on the shirt maker that is the size I wear. Rob you've see those measurements for 2 years and you just start looking at them I don't much see a point in measuring the neck but I do it any way. For the last 6 months I've just been dragging it accross in MSExcel. All numbers are flexed.

I finally got some HIIT cardio in this morning. I did 15 min of jumping rope. 30 secs at ~75% max with a 60 sec rest.

LOL, Gabe. I only look at my own numbers on Greg's sheet. Thanks for the clarification - that makes more sense.

Way to go at jumping back in to the cardio regime. I've never tried jumping rope before. I always think I would strangle myself. :/ It does look like a good w/o though!

I prefer jumping rope. I find I like the more active task with more moving body parts if that makes any sense.

I have DOMS all over. The jumping rope I did yesterday is killing my calves which I think is a good thing since the don't seem to get much work. I did my weighted situp going past parallel plus the core hold is killing my abs and the lunges and deads got to my lower body. Throw in the the push ups and you have total body DOMS.

Yippeee!!! Hopefully, I'll be ableot get my workout in tonight as I'll have some babysitting help while my wife is out of town.

Doing well is a relative term but thank you. I can find all kinds of faults with my diet etc. Overall I'm happy with the progress.

With my wife out of town being the single dad, this week has been a struggle. So far I've managed to get the work in just not exactly to plan.

Workout 1/27/06

Wrkout A
Got the exercises right this time which further humbled me. I want to meet CB and talk with him. I’ve been sore since I started this program and I feel like I’m working out with the pink weights.

Superset A
Bench Press (machine) 3 x 8 @ 142
Dumbbell Row Shrugs 3 x 10 @ 25

Bent Over Row 3 x 8 @ 35

Some kid was on the bench and I couldn't get to it to finish the superset. I need to just go ahead and join that gym. My current situation continues to be a gigantic pain. I'll explain the issues in a later post.

Machine incline Press 60 with 100 lbs in 7:49 minutes

I continue to be real sore. I'll try to get some more cardio in tonight. I am bound and determined to get my work in for the week. I'm out of town next week. I can't go that long with out hitting the iron. It feels like it would be a step back.
