A little late here, Jim, but a hearty congrats on the internship. Sounds like a great outfit that you've gotten in with. I hope it's as good as it appears at first blush and that you're able to parlay it into a full-time gig down the road. Nicely done, young man!

What was your MCM time this year?
I gotta ease back into this. After that run on Friday, my foot was pretty sore. Stretching and rolling really helped; I think that's why I felt much better Saturday morning.

You could've taken the more noble road, Jim. But you didn't. You didn't at all.
I know what you mean about easing back into things. I did squats on Wednesday and I'm still kinda sore. And I have a PFT tomorrow!

Hey Jim - I'm not really good at reading training logs, but it looks like things are coming together for you. I'm assuming you'll be doing accounting (I work for a spin off of Andersen, so I'm in your shoes!), and if you ever need advice on any of it, or how to run at lunch (bring a new undershirt), shoot me a PM. Congrats on all of this! Sounds like things are falling into place for you!!!
Now go run! GOOO!!

Low blow, I know!
When you were in school how the hell did you balance class, work, studying, running, and lifting? It seems damn near impossible- if I want to sleep.
BTW, good luck on the PT test.

Eric! Thanks man! Yup, I'm looking at the CPA track right now. My plan is to be wrapping my master's degree up by the middle of 2009 and hopefully have at least a couple sections of the exam done before that busy season.
Thanks for the offer for advice. I appreciate that and will definitely keep you in mind. What do you do? Last I knew you were working at a hotel.
For the record, I didn't run tonight. I worked on a school project and did some studying most of the day. Then I watched the end of the NASCAR race. Now I'm enjoying a Guinness before bed. 3 or 4 miles are on the schedule for tomorrow.

Sad to say, but this is pushing it on the pace right now. Just on the edge of getting uncomfortable. Also my right achilles is a bit sore and my PF seems to be acting up some. Nothing horrible- just something I'll need to watch. Otherwise I felt pretty good.

Jim, you're an accountant. Isn't boredom just second nature to you by now?

Hey! Tax is stimulating! At least that's what my professor says.
I'm going to be the one that finally breaks that accountant stereotype. Actually, that's why I really like the field, and the firm I'm going to. It's nothing like the guy stuck in some back room with the green visor.

When I took Tax at law school, my professor was a Belgian woman who sounded exactly like a female Inspector Clouseau. I can't say it was particularly stimulating but it was definitely entertaining ... It was a three-hour lecture on Friday afternoon and we IMMEDIATELY hit the bar afterwards!!
