Thanks, y'all! I'm pretty happy this morning, too. My foot/ankle is a little stiff but not hurting at all. I do need to get some new shoes because I'm not going back to that pair of LOCOs that started all this mess.
Bill, I'd be doing a lot better with the pullups if I could stop eating like a pig and exercising like a slug. I haven't been on a scale in a couple weeks but I'm afraid the past couple weeks with all its stress etc. have really taken a toll on my waistline.
Ralph, I may run a victory marathon! Well, not really. But I'll be that happy.

Run... yeah! Your foot is going to be 100% just in time for that winter training cycle
The pull ups are coming along nicely as well.

Thank you, Jeff! I can't wait. Any running at all sounds good right now. Even if it is in 20 degree weather!
I can't believe I just said that!

If I've ever knocked one out of the park, this was it! I thought I'd had some pretty good interviews this past couple weeks, but this one was fantastic. Seeing that this is the firm I really, really want to work for, I was extra motivated to do research and to be ready for it with good answers and questions. It didn't hurt that I had already met one of the interviewers at a visit to their office last week.
It was a two-part behavioral interview with each interviewer getting 30 minutes. We had so much to talk about, each portion took over 45 minutes! There was another guy interviewing at the same time (just with the opposite interviewer) and he ended up waiting quite a bit to get the second half done and was long gone by the time I finished up!
Keep your fingers crossed. I should find out in a week or so!

03OCT07
PM workouts
2 mile run
16:14 (8:07 avg pace)
Armstrong Pullup Program Day 3-3: 3 training sets each of pullups, chinups, and wide grip pullups. Each training set is 4 reps. 60 seconds rest between all sets.
(sets x reps)
3 x 4 pullups
3 x 4 chinups
3 x 4 wide grip pullups
---
I can't tell you how nice it is to run again. As for the pullups, I added 2 reps per set, therefore increasing the total reps to 36 from the 18 I did last time.

Good job pushing the training sets to four pullups. The Armstrong program really rockets up your numbers quickly.
You have a pretty charismatic personality in person, I'm not surprised you did so well at the interview! Congrats!

Great job on the job interview! If it doesn't work out though, with all the pullups and running you could always join the Marines!

Thanks, everyone. I love how this has shifted from a training log to a regular old blog! I've got good news on the interview front. A couple callbacks and some other interest expressed, so please keep those fingers crossed!!!
Bad news with the foot, though. My PF has flared back up. It's not so severe yet, but I'll definitely not be running on it for a couple days. The good thing is that the top where my suspected stress fracture is, feels fine.
Greg, do you think they'd take a used up ol' Army guy?
