Take care of that foot! I have persistent but mild PF. I find that an aggressive massage with my thumb on the bottom of my foot and all around my lower leg does wonders for it over a week's time. Every time it flares up I find some pretty sensitive trigger points somewhere in my lower leg.
BTW, anything short of triple digit score for 9 holes is good in my book -- yeah, I suck at golf.

SEVENTY FIVE ! ! ! OK you don't pick on me for what I call running so I won't ridicule you for what you call golf. It's a great game once you get in the swing of it.

Not to alarm you, but I initially thought the infection in my foot was PF and my doctor did as well!

scheduled: 4 mile run
actual: 4.25 mile run
32:43 (7:42 avg pace)
---
Way too hot to go out at 1:00 PM. Summer has returned. Where's my AC?
I'm going to follow a 1/2-M training plan in the hopes I can scrounge up enough $$$ to run Grand Rapids the end of October.

NROL Break-in program (again! )
I like break-in after longer vacations, minor injuries, and its always challenging.

That's about how long it has been since I've played golf, and I don't even want to remember what my scores were back then!

I'm with Rob. Break-in is a great way to re-start after being away from it for awhile....A smart approach.

I'm going to disagree with the both of you. Jim, you need to start with Strength III, because then it'll be all downhill from there.
Which 1/2m plan are you following?

You're a runner. Pick up a dumbbell and you'll get too big. Best to just run hills for strength, and focus on your mileage base.
:-D

I'm sure I'll be doing the break-in program again in 3 months after something else causes me to slack off.
