Thanks, man. I have tons of writing to do. Oh, well. Two more semesters before I have my bachelor's. However, I do want to be a CPA, which means I'll get my master's ( have to have 150 hours of school) and then have to study for the CPA exam.
It'll all be worth it in the end!

2 laps around the big block with my little bike riding shadow. Quite warm and humid. We stopped for a quick break after the first time around for a drink. A couple people were around and asked if I was trying to get Asia big and strong and in shape for a race. I said of course I was. :p

I agree. Summer blows.
Good to see your spirits are up, Jim

Coming into the AC after a run in the heat is so refreshing, though!

I had planned on doing a longer run (5 or 6), but at the last minute Asia changed her mind and decided she wanted to come along. Therefore, I did a bit shorter route; one that had sidewalks and less traffic to deal with. It was absolutely beautiful out this morning- of course, we didn't head out in the late morning so the heat hadn't kicked in.
Now we're off to do some errands and to see the Simpsons movie. This afternoon we're going swimming. This evening, I have to write another essay question for a take-home final as well as study for an in-class.

4.03 mile run

With all the talk about this forefoot running I thought I'd concentrate on my form and try it. I think I have some serious issues with my left leg which I believe stems from my ankle sprain in December of 2005. I have had issues with tightness in my left leg as compared to my right ever since I started marathon training. In trying the forefoot strike I can definitely tell I have much less flexibility in my left ankle. I'm really feeling all the way up my leg- calf to hammy to glute- right now. Even some in my inside quad/groin. The left knee is a little off right now, too. :rolleyes. However, I thought I was going a lot slower than I actually was. Maybe I was preoccupied with my form. Or it's just easier to run this way. I'll keep trying it during my runs, maybe. We'll see how I feel after (hopefully) doing a long run tomorrow.

Ugh. I hoped to get a long run in yesterday. The weather was perfect. Instead, I spent most of both Saturday and Sunday at my ex's family's annual get-together. (Yes, I'm always welcome, especially because it's the only way most of them ever get to see Asia. ) I went a little hog wild with the eats but really easy on the beers. Obviously, because Asia was there, but also because each night I had to stay up to study for finals. We had a good time, though. Lots of swimming and fishing and general fun.
Now today, it's humid as hell and going to get hot again. I have my first exam at noon. I should be done by 1:30. I'm finally going to have a chance to run. Should feel good right about that time of day.

You're a good man to make sure Asia gets to know her mom's family. Good luck with your exams!

5.67 mile run

Was supposed to be a 9 miler. Uh-uh, not in this heat and humidity. Plus, I hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was 2pm that I went out. I made up for that this evening, though. I just got back from the former in-laws where I had a grilled burger and 3 ears of corn fresh from there cornfield. YUM! Now, it's time to finish my last take-home essay.

Bitch-fest
I'm kind of pissy right now. I want to run but I've got to study for this final. Asia wants us to do something but I've got to study for this final. I've got about a gazillion things to do before our trip tomorrow but I've got to study for this final. I want to go see my friend who just got back into town but I've got to study for this final. I'm wasting time bitching and posting when I should be studying for this final. Ugh.

I'm not sure Rush would approve of any American male describing himself as "pissy." Get back to work you slacker!

5.5 mile run
untimed

Nice run; kind of cool (70ish) and drizzly. Humid, though. Got in a 1 x 20 x 135 bench press set, as well. I would like to do some deads and pullups done later, if I don't run out of time. Lots of things to do to ready for the pig roast on Saturday.
