I surprised you didn't go 3 rounds with the punching bag.

LMAO!!! This is the secret to race PR's. Read some CE threads first.

I know I really need to take this tack. The rhetoric and hypocrisy that comes out of that sub-forum almost drowns out all the other good stuff here. I say almost; I'm not going anywhere. I just need to keep my dumb ass out of there and let them have their circle jerk.

18JUL07

ABBH I day 9

superset with 60 seconds rest between all sets. 10 x 3, sets x reps

bench press
10 x 3 x 185 (same. need to increase +5 next time.)

BB row
10 x 3 x 155 (+20. need to increase +10 next time.)
---
Good workout. It felt good, the weights were heavy but I should be able to bump them up next week.

More good news, as well. My connection at a local accounting firm (not one of the big four, but one of the big 6!) may be paying off. My resume has been fast tracked for hiring for a winter internship! Plus one of my accounting professors is really championing me at another big firm! What a good day this has turned out to be, especially after starting it out in the CE forum! Now I have a huge explanation to write over there as well as two more mid-term exam essay questions. Which should I concentrate on?

Here's what I do. I look at the titles and if it seems like it might not have to with Iraq or the "Chimp in Chief," I figure there might be some rationality and I read the first post. The first post generally sets the tone and I have a generally good idea if it's going to be ugly. That's how I found out about the BP plant (as someone who grew up in the county adjacent to Whiting, and is fond of swimming in the lake, that was good to know.)

Several months ago CE was really bad, a little bit worse than it is now, and I pretty much vented via PM to Russ and told him not to expect me to post much if the crowd was going to act like that. If the ultra-liberals in CE want a real discussion, they'll act like adults with dissenting opinions. If they don't, well, I have other things I can do with my time.

And great news about the internship!

Hmmm - not sure how accurate them thangs are. I had that problem early in life, though. May be worth getting checked out.

I don't read most of those posts either. Those discussions have already been played out, and nobody is changing anyone else's minds. But I'm generally burned out on polarized political discussions. Just not worth the energy drain.

Good workout and great news on the job/internship prospects. Looks like school is going to pay off fast.

I like how your southern accent is coming through! lol

As for CE, it's the same ol' problem I have with the diet. I know what I need to do, it's just implementing it.

Clean break baby. It's like fucking. You can't fuck just a little bit, once you get in there, you're IN THERE and it's on. Gotta distract and not even tempt the beast.

Nice workout! Getting strong man. I *just* fired up my GI Bill...good times with the VA.

Well, if it is like... um... intercourse, then when it's good it is REALLY good, and when it is bad, it is still pretty good... On that advice don't break it off...

And congrats on the job lead! That's big.
