I'm seriously considering being back that way over that weekend. Unbelievably, I have my first exam in one of my classes on the 21st (only 2 weeks in) but I still think I should get there, especially with the shape my grandpa is in.

If you want to catch one of the games just let me know I will hit my contacts up for tickets. I am on Vacation after this Thursday but I will be checking in here after I get back in town Tuesday Morning.

Hey Jim-
I thought you'd like to know that my brother is about to accept a job with the Avalanche. He's a traitor.

08MAY07

scheduled: 8 miles easy

actual: 8 miles
untimed
----------------

I ran with my friend Sheila today. For the first half she pushed her youngest son in the stroller. I pushed him the second half. Oof. That's tough to do. I got a sunburn, too. Yay, summer's here!

I stumbled across a couple pictures of me from the 15k I ran in March.

Hiding in the middle, waiting to begin:

Just want to be done:

You look kind of like this guy who ran the Indy Mini on Saturday.

Nice shirt You and I now have several matching shirts. We'll have to call each other before we meet up to make sure that we're not wearing identical outfits

And I must observe that many of the people I saw at the 10 miler had excellent arms. Reverse hyphen indeed. We aren't the only two runners that lifted this winter.

Cool pics, Jim. It looks like they got a couple of you sprinting down the stretch.

Thanks, Jamie. You mean the 3/4 mile sprint I ended up doing to the line?

I just accidentally erased a large post about my new addiction- trail running. I've got to get to school, but I have to say that after my marathon I'm going to be doing some serious time on the trails. So much fun!

You mean you developed an addiction over the past 5 days? I love trail running. I wish I could do a lot more of it.

10MAY07

scheduled: 4 mile recovery run

actual: ~5.5 mile trail run
49:26 (~9:00 avg pace)
------------------------

Holy hell! this was so much fun. While mindlessly surfing the net yesterday I came across a map of some hiking trails just outside of town- miles of them. It's fantastic. It was so cool to be running through the woods leaping over fallen trees, running across logs over streams, seeing deer and other animals, and not having to worry about being hit by a car!

Another thing I've noticed about me from the pictures of me running is my right pinky finger sticks out like I'm drinking a cup of tea. Here are a couple examples:
