I sure can't find the love in CE and the NASCAR guys in the sports forum just love all the Hendrick cars. And, of course, most everyone thinks we runners are whacko. You sure you want to room together at Indy? lol

Yeah, I think "F*** y'all" might be less offensive

I guess we can still room together. I voted for George Bush twice (and his Dad twice) and love to run. I'm a freak too!!!

Saying you are a "freak" and talking about rooming with Jim might cause some alarm...

Wait, wasn't this conversation in the other thread? Ach. I'm up past bedtime. Damn that 4:45 wakeup.

Just checking in and low and behold your signature is scaring me... not the rush limbaugh thing, but I have been to enough NASCAR races to know that NOBODY likes Jeff Gordon... I'm not even sure Jeff Gordon likes Jeff Gordon... hes just too yuppie-esque... and for that reason I find your signature sketchy.

other than that continue putting up amazing miles .

I became a Jeff Gordon fan for the simple fact nobody I knew liked him. In fact, they hated him. This was shortly after he started, about 1995 when I was living in Alabama. I think Bear Bryant and Dale Sr. were sainted down there.

11APR07

scheduled: rest

actual: 9 mile w/vO2 workout
1:10:16 (7:48 avg pace)

splits:
3 mile warmup - 23:59 (8:00)

vO2 workout: 4x800m with 800m rest jog (goal 3:05-3:10 per interval and 4:00 rest)
interval 1 - 2:59 (4:07 rest)
interval 2 - 3:08 (4:12 rest)
interval 3 - 3:05 (4:20 rest)
interval 4 - 3:04 (4:27 rest)

2 mile cooldown - 16:51 (8:26)
------------------------------
This kicked my ass. Good thing there was a hot chick there that I know from a class last semester. I had to show off a little and make sure I did not keel over the railing to the basketball courts below. I thought about doing one more interval and doing only one cooldown mile but I just didn't think I had it in me. Now, I'm kind of kicking myself for not. I was wasted but I know I could've dug deep to get it. Oh well. It was good to get a hard workout in. Everything I've done lately had been at an easy pace.

tomorrow: 11 mile easy run

I was going to congratulate you on running in this weather, but it seems you found running inside has its charms

What a bunch of crap, huh? I'm with your son on this one. Seventh month with snow. Sheesh. It'll be the TM today.
