Couldn't you have found something more constructive to do than a 10-mile run???
Have a great Christmas, Jim!!!

some lifting, deads and other stuff. It sucked. I'm fat and weak. (I weighed myself- 191 . I'm guesstimating that is ten more pounds than my marathon weight. Yikes.)
-------------
27DEC06
9.42 mile run
1:17:44 (8:15 avg pace)
This route had one mean mother of a hill on it. It went on for almost 2 miles. Funny thing is, I had the same pace running down it as up. My right foot was bothering me and it took about 7 miles to realize my shoe was tied too tight.
-------------
28DEC06
Scheduled lift day but I'm going to take it off. We just got back from Milwaukee and I have to bring my daughter to her mother's in a bit. I think I may be coming down with a stomach thing. Either that, or my stomach is finally revolting from this week of decadant eating and drinking.
4 or 5 easy miles tomorrow. 12 on Saturday. The New Plan has begun after treading water at 30 mpw the past month or so.

Hope its not a stomach thing - everyone seems to be getting it. I am still fighting it - not fun at all.
Hope you enjoyed your trip to the cheese state. Nothing exciting happening here in GR - oh yeah, avoid downtown early next week. Something about a funeral....

So I heard. At least the semester doesn't start until the week after. However, I'm curious. I may go down there to see who and what I can see.

Thankfully I won't be driving through Washington from Baltimore until Monday, after his body is in the Capitol.

Between classes, this summer, I ran down along the river and past the museum quite a bit. Nice place to run.

4.3 mile run easy
32:15 (7:58 avg pace)
Supposed to have been a slow-ass recovery run, but it turned into a nice regular easy run. Nice cool morning to be out. 12 tomorrow- maybe. lol I'm going to the Pistons game tonight and I think it will make for a rough morning tomorrow.

What's your new plan? Are you following a pre-planned training program, or are you going to wing it???

Well, I feel better today. Still a little dehydrated. My penance will be doing today's 12 miler in the rain, however. Yuck.
Edit: I'm going to wait a couple hours to see if it stops or at least eases up. It's really cold and windy as well. Yes, it seems I'm wussing out. I just don't want to catch a death of a cold or something. If it's still going strong by noon I'll go struggle through a few miles on the TM. I'm so pissed at myself right now.

Not really. I couldn't keep much down yesterday. Ive been doing my best today. The rain seems to have stopped, so I'm heading out. I'll bring a water bottle with me even though it's still cold and windy out.

12 mile treadmill run
1:37:45 (8:09 avg pace)
Well, the rain didn't really quit so I went to the gym in hopes of getting 6-8 in on the TM before they closed. I was planning on doing the remainder in the rain no matter what. The rain did stop but hot gym chick was running the show today and let me stay to finish all 12 because she wanted to get some miles in as well. It sucked but now it's done.

Well I admire your tenacity... I think I'd lose my mind if I ran that far on the treadmill. Congrats on getting it done
Tina
