That kind of reminds me of my downtown campus now. Everyday the campus police have to toss some homeless person out from the cafeteria or lounge areas. I've not ever noticed them dong a workout, though. LOL
I'll be starting this fall, yes. The campus (both of them actually- the main and even the downtown campus) is amazing. No wonder tuition is so freaking high.

easy untimed 4.5 mile run
Man, this was nice. The heat wave has kind of momentarily broke here and the humidity was even low. A perfect day for an easy, enjoyable run. No worries about pace or tempo or anything else. I need some more of these. If I didn't have class in a little bit I would have done more. I ran along the river, then I cut through downtown and ran through the older, historic part of town. Some big-ass, beautiful homes around there.

ROFLMAO!!!
Maury can be pretty entertaining at least. I like those shows where they do the DNA testing on the guys who claim they are not kids' fathers. All of those trashy rednecks crack me up. I think a lot of them are my neighbors.

When I was in high school, they had a "you my baby daddy" episodes of Maury. One of the girls was a dropout from my HS. No joke. We watched it during economics class, probably to learn about how the other half lives.

What a great workout! Not for my numbers, I'm as weak as ever- or weaker, but I just seemed to get everything out of this workout. I just felt great.
Well I had an interesting conversation with Laura today. I think I may have disappointed her with my running performances. She seems to have expected more than what I've done. She thought I would have run about a 19:00 in that last 5k. So I don't know the deal. She's totally revised what she thinks I can do the marathon in as well. So, now I'm back to square one. She thinks a 3:30 is more realistic than a BQ(it probably is), but I think I'm going to shoot for a 3:20. I'll just have to show her. Of course, this all depends on my training and what I actually feel like once I start those loooonnnnggg runs.
I'm already want to get back to training again. I think I'll start upping the mileage again next week rather than waiting til the 31st.

~5.5 mile easy untimed run
I woke up early this morning to get this run in. A huge storm is rolling through right now, so I got done just in time. I won't have time tonight because I'm picking my daughter up and we're going to the local short track to watch school bus races. I would have gone btween classes but I want to do some last minute cramming for my philosophy midterm.

Another reason I'm glad I got the run in this morning: I did it before any DOMS set in from my workout last night. I am sore as hell after sitting through my first class this morning.

School bus races are just what they sound like! So cool! Imagine short track racing with 6 or 8 huge school busses going around a track at 60 mph bumping and trying to take eachother out! Two years ago one of the busses ended up on it's side! I took my daughter last year and she loved it. She laughed so much. She was rooting for a wreck! Imagine that!

Curling was pretty popular where I grew up in northern Minnesota. But so was the polka.

Yup, and in addition to the phallic reference, it reminds women of their proper place
