I had this brilliant idea for the log title on the plane. Sadly, I get some of my best fitness related thinking done on airplanes. The idea to do Scrawny to Brawny came while in the air, as did this new program.
I am going to be using the programs from "The New Rules of Lifting."
Obviously, as you can see, this log will be focusing on getting lean. I have never seen my abs in my 20 year lifetime, and I plan to see them by this summer, pool job or no pool job.
I am planning on doing the Midwest Meltdown Triathlon again this summer, so my goals for the triathlon will coincide with my quest for abs.
I plan on doing two weeks of the break in program found in NR, and then onto Fat Loss One. I haven't yet looked at how many weeks I have until the end of May, but depending on my timeframe and my progress, I will choose my next workouts.

They're getting further and further with every Special K bar.
But the hottie at the gym is keeping me motivated. Seriously.
Break In Workout A
Squats
2x15 @ 165
High Rep Squats = Pain for those that have never done them
Superset
Elbow Out Bent Over DB Row
2x15 @ 55
Static Lunge
2x15 @ 20 (EH)
Superset 2
Pushups
2x15
Swiss Ball Crunch
2x20 @ +10
Worked up a nice sweat, and it only took 20 minutes, yet it was brutal. I can't wait for the actual workouts.

Not to mention if there's something out there that you've always wanted, never had, and is within your power to get... go for it!!!
Are we still talking about gym girls? Sorry, I confuse easily.
Good luck with the program, Nick. I'm interested to see how this book stacks up against other routines. We'll see how your progress is going at the "summit".

Nathan- When the idea popped into my head, I immediately thought I was a genius, and spent the rest of the trip praying that no one had taken my play on words.
Rob- Yep, treadmill. I probably need to start doing some on the bike as well because that is what killed me in the triathlon. I want to be able to find that happy bike/running balance. I think I can focus my swimming in the summer.
Thanks guys for the support. It helps to know that I am being held accountable. I know that it does seem a little vain, and I do agree Rock, that I will be a much healthier person if I can strip of this layer. And Greg, only ONE line was mentioned about the girl. I swear, all the younguns these days think about sex.
I know Mahler is doing the break in as well, and I am interested to see what schedule he is going to follow.

I missed you too sweetie! And my hands are killing me from all the typing today, but I couldn't stay away any longer.
Geez...you still want Jessica? What am I gonna do with you? Think I need to slap you around a bit. Oh...but you will probably like that
