Blood, pus, nausea, diarrhea...
Is this a training log or a pepto-bismol commercial?

Try eating some yogurt a couple times a day (the stuff with active cultures). It helps with the diarrhea.

What was abcessed? I don't get it. Is it like a HUGE ingrown hair or a pimple gone wild? I've never heard of this. A spontaneous infection under the skin?

Ouch.......... the ladies must really love blood and pus
I know, this thread has gone from ugly (my workouts) to downright disgusting.
Bill, yes, he told me to eat yogurt. I put it in my post workout shakes, and am drinking that as we speak, so that should help me, and I'll throw in some yogurt with breakfast and lunch.
Thursday May 18?
Dynamic shoulder stretches before and after workout as well as foam rolling
Plate Squats
5x5 @ 25
Front Squats
3x8 @ 95
Kept my back really straight.... foam rolling??
Close Grip Pushups
4x8
Bent Over Rows
4x6 @ 145
Lunges
3x12 @ 25 (EH)
Seated Close Grip Cable Rows
3x12 @ 175
I think the tension is different
Was going to do some reverse crunches and planks but was needed to play basketball because some guys were a man short. Played two games, and what is left of the abscess did not explode, so that is a very good sign. I was worried about it, especially because I am taking the mound for the first time all year on Saturday.
I felt so much better rolling around before my workout. Thanks Danny, good call.
No clue when the next workout will be. Maybe to the gym to do planks and some reverse crunches and some running tomorrow, but I have to put in a full day at the pool to make sure it is ready for the open house on Saturday. Besides baseball, I have to obviously be at the pool all afternoon. Thank God we're not open on Sunday so I can have a break.

Good luck in the game. If it takes you less than 4 pitches to hit a guy maybe you can start on Sunday for my Stros.

Did you say hits? I didn't see any Saturday.
Monday May 21
Dynamic shoulder stretches and foam rolling before and after workout.
Single Leg Air Humps
3x12
Plate Squats
3x5 @ +25
Front Squats
3x10 @ 95
2 rep increase on all sets
Pushups
3x12
2 rep increase as well on these
Bent Over Rows
3x12 @ 110
5 lb increase
Lunges
3x8 @ 35 (EH)
Seated Rows
3x12 @ 180
5 lb increase here as well
Planks
2x45 seconds
Reverse Crunches on Decline Bench
3x8
Good solid workout. Good increases, and I believe I was doing the same reps and weights for the lunges in NROL, so I haven't lost much strength. (Hopefully)

Ugh. Impressive comeback with two outs. That was such a microcosm of the Royals' season.
Wednesday May 24
Single Leg Air Humps
2x12
Plate Squats
5x5 @ 25
Deadlifts
5x135, 3x185, 3x225, 1x275, 1x295, 1x315
Ugh. Those sucked. Not nearly as explosive off of the ground as I was back in the day.
Close Grip Pushups
4x8
DB BORs
4x6 @ 45 (EH)
Lunges
3x10 @ 30 (EH)
Seated Row
3x12 @ 185
Something is going to have to be done here. The cable stack isn't accurate, and I can't keep throwing DBs on the stack and hope the cable doesn't snap.
Planks
2x50 seconds
Russian Twists on decline bench
2x12 @ 25
One of the "trainers" who is a complete tool, was doing smith machine squats on a wobble ball. Believeable and completely unacceptable. I wanted to say something but I held my tongue.

The deads may have sucked, but the weights are climbing.
And, yes, the trainer is a tool. LOL

Thanks Craig.
Friday, May 26
Single Leg Air Humps
2x10
Plate Squats
3x5 @ 25
Front Squats
3x12 @ 95
Up 2 reps here
Bent Over Rows
3x10 @ 120
Up 5 lbs
Lunges
3x10 @ 40 (EH)
Long story short, I was going to try to do glute ham raises using the smith like milkman said, but my smith wasn't wide enough for it to work. I wasted a good 15 minutes trying to figure it out and it busted my rhythm.
Seated Close Grip Rows
3x12 @ 190
Planks
2x50 seconds
Reverse Crunches on decline bench
3x8
Worked 11 hours today. 5 or so tomorrow and 9-10ish Monday. Long live pool season!
