Oh and I am anxious to have numbers written on my body!

I was so nervous, but the tri community is so welcoming, people will be so incredibly nice to you. That's one of the main reasons I stuck with it.
And body numbering is cool. My first one, it was 34 degrees outside and I had to strip off all my sweats. It was freezing, but so cool.

Thats what everyone says, so hopefully it's the same up here. I am personally pretty shy, so I could possibly get through the whole day without talking to anyone.
I had found a group of local guys with an on-line presence, but unfortunately they want to keep their on-line presence among those who workout and I am 98% their swim time will never be a good time for me.
Can't wait to be in the pool. 2 hours remaining.
I also went for a 4km walk yesterday, including a massive set of stairs, probably 10 sets, and I ran them. My quads were killing me after.

Swimming
Workout:
2 x500m
First 500m timed at 13:19.84
Second 500m timed at 12:48
Previous PR: 13m02s
New PR: 12m48s.
14 seconds faster than previous.
Cool down:
4x25m
Notes:
Felt good in the water today. I felt fast. Still maintaing bilateral breathing through both sets. Feel very good about that. When I started swimming again I simply could not do bilateral breathing, I had to roll my right side into the water to breathe. Maintaining it for an entire 500m is pretty cool, 2 500ms is even cooler.
I pushed pretty hard again for the new PR, but the other pace was pretty maintainable.
Today's thought: If I felt fast in the water today, I can scarcely imagine how the world class guys feel in the water. That must be an insane feeling for them.

Swim was aweseome finboy!
Location is Calgary. The swim portion is laps in a pool, although I am tempted by an open water sprint later this year. We shall see how it goes.
It's called "Try this Tryathlon". 500m swim, 16km bike, 3km run.

The legendary Turkey Bites I mention in my food logs.
Turkey pepperoni sticks, 50cals each, low fats and carbs, decent protein. Little high in the sodium, I think 150-200mg per serving.
And the eggs are hardboiled!

Cycling
Went to the gym and did some spinning on the stationary bike. Sorta dull but I can't spin well on my bike due to terrain in my area. Very hilly.
Either way.
Spinning: 30 minutes. RPMs 90-100. Progressively more difficult tension, last 5 minutes was killer.

Rest day
Felt pretty crappy, stayed home from work, slept in, lounged on the couch, relaxed, ate to much food.
All in all a huge recovery day. Came down with a cold on the weekend. Tried ignoring it on monday but Monday evening my legs were still stiff, sore and achy from spinning in the morning.
Woke up today and felt largely the same, achy muscles, headache, congested.
It's now the 10th and I feel a little better, but I think I will be skipping the morning routines. Really need to set up my crappy weight bench again. Will allow me to do some more resistance training.

Cycling
So there I am watching TV minding my own business, still pretty under the weather, better than before but not great. I have OLN on and they start with the top 10 surival stories.
#8 Lance Armstrong.
Fuck.
16km
Time: 39:20m
Avg Pace: 2:27/km
Avg Speed: 24.4km/h
Legs feel pretty tired, but I think I could still log an ok 3km.
My time sucks, judging by the previous years results my cycle time is near the bottom end. I only hope A) I can get a little faster B) the course is being alot flatter helps out alot.
Nutrition
1: 2 eggs + 1 tbsp Ketchup. 3/4 cup oats + 1 apple
2: 2 eggs + 1 cup veggies + 1 slice FF cheese
3: Quick Curry
4: 1 apple. 1/4 cup crushed pineapple + 1/4 cup yogurt
5: Protein shake: 1 scoop ON Whey, Ice, frozen berries
6: Veggie chop
7: 3/4 cup oatmeal + 1/4 cup pineapple. 1 scoop ON Whey + water.
Not 100% sure on how much of what I used. Yogurt is a FF variety
Quick Curry (2 servings)
mustard seeds, tumeric, chilli powder and curry paste into frying pan.
Add 1/4 cup onions and 1 can of tomato.
Add some water and allow to cook down a little.
add spinach and 1/2 package of tofu.
Add some yogurt to thicken, and couscous. simmer until stiff.
Veggie Chop:
Basically a stir fry only I used my quick chopper to make it all small
Quick chop: onions, asparagus, garlic, brocolli, spinach and 1/4 package tofu, stirfry together with tumeric and chilli. Add yogurt at the end.
