Hey Gappy: more than acceptable to me. LOL. Good luck - you have a nice lean base to start from. Booty is not as bad as you kept making it out to be.

First question: how many kcals are you planning on taking in, and how much protein?

Second question: Was all the LBM loss due to the shoulder limitations on lifting? Or was some of it due to diet?

Third question: when will you be able to start lifting upper body, or to handle weights for lower body?

Fourth question: when you have an idea of the first and third questions, can you post your workout schedule so we can give you feedback?

Sorry for all the ?s - just trying to do what I do in my (admittedly very anal and thought out) planning process. Also, once you have publicly put out all that info, you are held responsible by all of us here.

OMG you called me Gappy...lmao.

To answer your questions:

1. I was on about 1800 on my last program, made good gains and actually dropped some BF. According to "Massive Eating" though, I should take in about 2800. I'm gonna start out a little slow though...around 2100 and work up slowly...make changes along the way. Protein...probably will take in around 200g to start. I do best 'around' 40% protein.

2. LBM loss due to both. I'll admit...I need to eat more. And I was in a lot of pain sometimes, I never made it to the gym at all. Gaining there has been a life-long battle. I'm really gonna work my hardest at it over the next few months though.

3. I see the doc on Friday, so hopefully I will know a little more about what I can do when.

4. I will be posting my workout. Right now, I don't have much of a plan cause I am just so limited. Once I am back to full body, I will have a definite set plan.

Gappy?

Anyway, stopped in to say that I hope you're feeling better and to wish you luck with your test results.

Gaining weight (quality weight) is tough, most say it's tougher than losing it. But you can do whatever you set your mind to. Mostly about diet. Your thinking is right to slowly increase your calories over time.

Like Kaiser said, you've got a great base to start with, so good luck!

Gappy=my thighs don't touch. When I was working out with a friend, she called me this...lol.

I agree...gaining weight is so tough...it's hard for some people to understand when I say that. Thanks for checking in on me

Your thighs don't touch, that's a good thing! Heard someone call that "Factory Air" once. Pretty funny.

good luck TG on getting competition ready. You'll be glad you have pics to compare. And we'll be following your progress like Danny's strongman events.

You do have some seroius tris.

Will it be hard for you to eat 2800 cals?

It will be hard for me to eat that much in clean cals. I really want to minimize fat gain. It just takes so much damn food to add up to that much. I recently upped my cals at breakfast and made that meal fairly large. So I will just continue increasing the size of each meal.

Hehe, I like the "voila" fingers!!! That's your way of saying "here I am, come get some", right?

Leg mass would be your #1 area of improvement. I think once you have your upper body fully healed and back in gear, you'll gain better in your legs too.

Are barbell lunges a possibility? I think you said you can squat...??? I know that I ram that bar into my back, so any real sensitivity in the shoulder might be effected.

Maybe you already realized this, but machine leg curls and leg extensions wouldn't be worthless at a time like this, when you can't deadlift and have to guard your shoulder on squats, etc. Obviously, lunges and swiss ball leg curls, etc. are fine. But to increase volume (and add some bigger resistance) the machines might prove valuable. After all, they're not going to be your SOLE source of leg development, so the whole "stabilization muscles" issue won't be a problem.

Looking good though! Most girls would kill to have your "injured, can't gain mass" body!

Looking Good TG. It's taken me almost a month to build up to were I can handle the large quantity of food it takes me to gain. Keep the faith it'll come.

TG I can put you in touch with a friend of mine who competed (and won) in Figure and still judges it. She learned the error of her ways and gravitated to o-lifting but she can probably give you some advice

Note: I like the shorter, reddish Lindsay-Sloane type hair you had in your intro pics better

Gq...that would be great. I'll send ya' a pm with my contact info. Note on the hair...it changes quite often. My friends say my husband is lucky cause it must seem like he goes to bed with a different woman all the time...lol. I've been every color and every length possible.

Now for my workout today...ummm...haven't gone to the gym yet. I went to a party last night and am feeling a bit hungover. I'm hoping I'll feel well enough in a few hours. My gym is closed on Sundays during the summer so it's either later today or not until Monday

Oh and I probably shouldn't drink anymore until my shoulder is all healed up....I was dancing like I had never had the surgery...and now I am feeling it today..big time....It is sore!

What does all that have to do with fitness, some readers of your log may ask. If you indulge me, I'll explain.

You shoulders got a good workout putting your arms around everyone. And it looks like your right bicep got a lot of 12 oz curls in too.

The guy in the red (Huge) knows his form is a bit off and is thinking about moving his right hand up just a bit and going from a neutral to a supine grip. I know you think he isn't, but trust me, he is. Although, as every good lifter knows, you need to concentrate on your form being perfect, not on her perfect form.

Sorry, yeah...guess I did get a bit off track of the "training" aspect of my log...lol. I LOVE how you explained it for my readers...lol. I do believe all activities affect my overall health, so there may be more posts like this in the future. And being with my friends always seems to have a positive effect And alcohol, well that tends to contribute to my overall well-being too...it was specially prescribed in my post-colonoscopy diet you know Actually, how quickly we forget...I think I wasn't supposed to have it Oooops!

Ugh...F-ing shoulder hurts today. I have quite a bruise on that arm, and I remember falling on Saturday night (kind-of remember ) I think I used that arm to break my fall. Grrrrr. I am able to do my PT exercises though without a lot of pain. Hoping it feels better by tomorrow. I really don't wanna have to call the doctor and say...uhhhh, I think I fell and hurt my shoulder cause I was stupid drunk. I am a dumbass.

Back to training tomorrow though...so this will actually be a training log again
