Ok well no workout yesterday I came down with the flu or something like it.. yuk. So I'll start again today. Aarrhhh nothing like screwing up my whole set up royally. Got the pull up bar and will install it today b4 my workout, so we will see how I make out. I'm scared to see how badly I will do.. but I'd like to be able to eventually get up to doing one armed pull ups.. maybe. haha. Kinda like the standing push ups I'd like to try at some point, or not. lol...

One armed pullups? Good goal. Last year at the retreat, JP was the ONLY one who could do them. That's gonna change this year I think.

Well Kaiser I got that bar up today. Yahoo I am happy to say I can do them, and more than one, so now I can in your face to my friend that was laughing at me. I have a long way to go b4 i can do the one arm pull up but its a start. I did 5 b4 i figured with still having the flu, and not having eaten more than once in the last two days, that now is not a good time to test myself. lol. So now that my whole routine is really screwed I'm planting my ass in front of the tube for a movie and a cup of peppermint tea.

5? That's really good Jenn! Wow. Chinups or pullups? There are lots of guys in here who can't even do 1. Since you can do at least 5, time for you to dare to try a Crossfit workout. Try today's 'Cindy' when you are feeling better - its a no weight one that'll have you breathing hard about half way through and being light-headed if you blast through to the end. But it's fun as heck!
Sorry to hear about your flu. A lot of tea and a steady diet of garbage TV, plus some lovin' from your little guys should help you feel better. Whenever I'm sick, I pound the green tea more than usual, but for some reason, McDonald's hamburgers make me feel better - who knows why, because I hate the stuff otherwise. Probably some mental 'comfort food' reminder of my childhood.
I really want to get some time to comment on your routine, but I am loathe to create a program for someone else.
PS: My guess is your log gets a lot more attention now. Wonder why?

You did 10-10-10-8 reps of pullups while you were sick? Unassisted? You have some great pulling endurance and strength - you're ready to do some Xfit workouts, girl. Either that or go rock climbing (one of my favorite pasttimes).

Kaiser I would love to go rock climbing. I've only ever done it indoors but what a rush getting to the top.. only problem is here I don't know anyone I could go with.. I had to take a couple 2 sec pauses on the last two sets, my tummy was protesting, lol, but I pressed on.. we will see how it goes when I am at 100% again.. determination shear determination. that bar is NOT gonna spank my ass, no way...

If you're in Niagara (I remember reading that somewhere), you should definitly hit up Niagara Glen for some climbing. The bouldering there rocks! Tons of people there to hook up with. I usually go there 2-3 times a year.
