"No deadlift for you. Come back in one year"
Obviously a Seinfeld fan, eh Galya! This was from the Deadlift Nazi, huh. "You're pushing your luck little man!"
I've been reading your log, its interesting to see how a pro eats & workout out. Seems like your body fat is already quite low. I was under the impression that for women it wasn't best to get your bf down lower than that. But I guess you know what your doing.
Also wanted to say if I recall correctly that is you in your avatar and I must say - very nice back! You look great. Good luck with your workout.

Hey Blackjack,
thanks for reading my log.
I am no pro...just a trainer that's self training here...heh heh
I am far from the body fat I want to be. I actually care little about the number, just want the abbies to show more. This is my back a week ago, after 3 weeks off training. It looks better after this week. It was hard. I put on 3 pounds already, water water water.
Thank you for your nice words, I am happy someone appreciates my work.
Have a great weekend.

Dec 10.
1 hour of dance class, did quick step. That was painfully fun (soreness caught up with me here).
I ate weird today because I was so busy.
1. 2 tbsp wheat bran, 1 cup yogurt
2. 1 egg, wedge feta
3. 2 cups broccoli 1 wedge fetta
4. 2 cups broccoli 2 cup fresh cheese (like cottage)
5. curds with sprouts and whey
6. 1 oz chicken, 1 glass of wine, 2 hadfulls nuts
(was at a party)
I am off to bed now. What a nasty, sleepless week that was.

Hey Mary,
We have a dance instructor that comes to our studio to teach small groups. I have been dancing off and on for years. Latino is more of a passion for me though, my husband felt too manly to do it, but I give him the credit for trying salsa dancing with me for a while.

We've been into Ballroom dancing for 8 years now.. but also do Salsa, Batchata, East Coast Swing.. and it was actually my byfrd's idea.. and he feels that the latino hip movement actually helped him get rid of back stiffness.
We've gone to some clubs that are only latino.. great evenings !! HOT
What's funny is that as the years go by.. our favorite dance changes.. maybe depending on which we have learned fun stuff in. But always the music counts for alot.. A favorit song in any dance is better than a bad song in a favorite dance.
But this year we changed schools (teacher) and are redoing some basics in another style.. but in the end we'll be able to mix it all up
I'm always glad to hear about couples who dance..(any type of dance) hope you talk more about it

"Afraid to see" was a little bit of sarcasm which in hindsight I realize doesn't translate well onto a forum. I meant to say that if I could follow you diet for a week I would have a great improvement in body fat.

I get it now
Be my guest, follow any of the aspects of my diet that you like. It's not much different from Adam's Diet, which a lot of the guys here have had great results with.

I have a long lasting realtionship with dance. I felt I started losing it when I got into weights. I started doing jazz ballet and was like : I feel like a piece of wood that only moves in the sagittal plane...heheh. So I saught out a teacher and invited her to teach at our studio. I have no time to travel to a school. I do yoga next to my house, too. No time to go farther.
I will keep you posted on any new cool stuff I learn. I envy you in a white envy way for having a partner that shares that with you. Then again, I am thankful for the testosterone-driven dude I have for a hubby.

bah.. my man is as Macho as I like him to be when it's the time
But maybe your man would get into Tango? My byfrd dances a mean tango.. OUFF!!
We lived a couple of years real close to the dance school, and I wasnt training then.. so we could take classes 4-5 times a week.. now it's just once..
for the long time relationship with dance.. I took ballet classes when I was 6, and have followed classes in all kinds of dance : à couple of sessions of jazz (didn't have to to continue) , a few years of "expression corporel" (that's in french) would be "body expression" i guess in english.. folk dancing (2 years during my "comunity recrational leadership training")and my father had me Viennese Waltzing when I was 10.. (ok i'll stop there.. i think you get the picture)
My ex-husband and I had started ballroom dancing but we got into too many argurements about it.
Oh.. I did have a plan to start Baladi at 50.. but I'm too busy these days, but it's still in my plans.
humm maybe it's in my log that I should have said that.. sorry for talking so much I get all excited when I talk about dance.

I did ballet for 8 years. I had to stop because of asthma. It was the biggest tragedy of my life. I will never forget though, I hope I can go back to classical one day.

Did **** all in terms of exercise. Slept till 1 p.m.
My left posterior deltoid hurts even to touch, I can't step downstairs without pain.
My massage therapist wasn't available, so I guess pain will stay with me thru tomorrow.
Food:
1. coffee and lots of lime lemonade, 1 orange
2. chicken salad. some dried tomatoes and cheese and olives in olive oil
3. yogurt and sunflower seeds
4. 2 tbsp peanut butter
I love free days. I never plan food for Sunday, it's a way to take it easy. Tomorrow is a new beginning.

Dec 12,
I woke up sore. That wasn't fun. I knew right from the start I would have to do an elimination workout.
I had to do Spider Stamina, but the only two exercises that wouldn't kill me were lat pull downs and stiff legged dls.
So, there it is.
Pull downs
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x40kg
5x40kg
5x40kg
5x40kg
5x40kg
My 1RM is around 53 kg, so 45 was good. Next time when I am not as sore I will do 47 kg to start with and hope to finish with 45 or so.
SL DL
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
5x45kg
My grip failed, because of sore forearms, nothing I could do so I had to stop here. I never did SLDLs for stamina, just sumos or conventionals, so I had no idea what weight to use but it worked out fine.
Cable crunch
15x44kg
15x45kg
15x45kg
some Saxon Bends later on during the day, nothing serious.
Food:
I cut out dairy and coffee, since whatever I ate last week made me feel super bloated.
1. tuna
2. egg and butter
3. spinach and egg
4. spinach
5. beef meatballs and cabbage salad
I have no idea what dinner will be.
Tons of tea all day + a tank of water.
I feel a lot better, can't wait for cardio tomorrow. I feel like doing something brutal to myself.

I accidentally wrote the last post while my husband was logged on. We should really have two PCs in the house.
Dinner was interesting. Went downstairs to a restaurant on our street (the small wonders of living downtown) and ordered a beetroot/cababge/parsnip salad that was too much for me, so I just ate half + scooped up some shrimp from a shrimp cocktail.
Hubby ordered whole wheat pizza. I am so proud of him. Just for the fun of it, because I know you'll appreciate it, it cost a total of $9 for the salad, shrimp cocktail, diet cokes, waters, and the large pizza.

Dec 13.
Nothing was sore, but my tris from lat pulldowns.
I asked Milko if that was normal and he was like :"don't complain" so I just had to suck it up and move on. That'll teach me.
Today was cardio day:
30 min of 2 min intervals on the elliptical with moderate speed, just varying difficulty, an average of 16-17 km per hr.
30 minutes of skipping, I stopped at times when my arms got tired and did crunches on the swiss ball to rest.I tried to do cool stuff like crossing the rope and stuff. Didn't slap myself to death which was good.
I did 10 minutes of planks and twists after that, random stuff that I enjoy.
Food was horror today, I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse. I almost ate LIKE a horse in result.
Here:
1. I woke up hypoglycemic and nauseous.
1/3 cup sunflower seeds, hulled and a small apple
2. tuna with lemon
3. cabbage salad, tomato and cucumber salad, one egg
4. one egg
5. cabbage salad, chicken hearts (about 30)
6. Savoy cabbage salad topped with chicken and balsamic vinegar, 5 chicken hearts, some sunflower seeds for dessert
I had a total of 4 huge salads, probably over 2.5 lbs of vegetables. I could have eaten more.
I am off to make some cocoa bean tea because the three headed sweet craving monster that lives inside is about to wake up.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far. Mine has been neurotic as usual

Did the store have a sale on chicken hearts and cabbage?
Not that we eat the same things, but you just seem to eat various foods, not coordinated meals. That's sorta what I do. Every morning I fill up my cooler with a variety of fruits, veggies, nuts, and protein sources.
When I'm hungry I just rummage around until I find something that looks good at the moment. About the only thing that I consistently prepare is salads, since I can't (or won't) just grab a handful of spinach and eat it without a bowl and dressing.
When someone asks what I had for lunch, the combination of foods might sound unusual, to say the least. Today's lunch: tuna, egg, tomato, walnuts, carrot, bell pepper.
