Well, so far so good. I got through week one and 1/2 into week 2 before I decided to change up my eating in order to bulk. Since I started that Monday, I also decided to re-start the ABBH. I think it's a great program so far. Lots of variety and lots of room for me to personalize it by the exercise selection.
I'll keep my results up her on this thread.

I've been doing HIIT and abs on the off days between the full body routines. Today I could feel my abs while doing oblique work. Man, they are getting hard. I'm pretty happy about that.
HIIT was a wash today. I did it but my heart wasn't in it. I didnt get it done in the a.m. like I wanted so I had to do it in the evening and that just threw me off.
Tomorrow is that damn 15 rep routine that I absolutely love to hate. Split squats almost finish me off. I guess this means I'm doing something right, getting a different kind of muscle fiber hit.

Was a good workout tonight. 15 reps x 2 sets ea. I simply hate bulgarian split squats. Especially 48 hours after doing regular squats.
Finished off the compound movements tonight with 15 reps of deadlifts with 145lbs. Not too heavy, but damn. that's a freak'n workout, 15 reps? by number 14 things are getting rough.

Next two days off and then back to the 5 rep "power" sets.

hehe..if you are hating the bulgarian split squats...must mean they are hard. It's why I love 'em

Yeah, they're hard alright. I though I was going to die about midway through. 'Course that's why I've got those motivational quotes up in my gym. I looked at them and kept on going.

Actually, I thought I was going to die about mid through the 15 rep deads. Geez, what was I thinking puting deads in the high rep workout? Anyway, I'm getting stronger. Oh, and I lost a 1/2 lb today. Shit!

Off day yesterday and today. Missed up on my eating yesterday. It was going to be a cheat meal last night anyway (scheduled) but I had ALOT of shit come my way yesterday and I ended up eating 3 donuts and a big mac/fries on top of cheating last night. Oh well, not going to dwell on it. What's done is done.
Updates later.

I'll just echo what many others have said in that you look great.

I too am a few inches taller and have some similar measurements (except the waist) and people probably wouldn't even guess that I work out.

Keep up the good work. CW's routines are great

Always there to "cheer" me on. That means alot. Thank you. Today was better. I should have worked abs today but didnt. Tomorrow I'm back on. tomorrow is the 5 rep (power) workout of ABBH. I really enjoy this one. I also add another 250-300 calories tomorrow. I think it'll be in the form of natty pb during lunch and, well.... I'm not sure. Need another 100 calories somewhere. maybe another egg or some egg whites.
I'll post stats next week at this time. I figure about every 2 weeks.

Thanks ShannonC. I really appreciate those comments.

Yesterday's 5 rep workout was ok, wasn't able to increase the weight on decline bench, in fact had to lose some plates. Hate it when that happens. but couldn't let it slow the rest of my workout. I increased all other exercise by about 5-10% which is good. I think the problem with this week's decline bench had to do with my head. It was my first exercise and I had had a horrible week. No excuses. I will get my shit together again though. Today's workout was abs and HIIT. Kept my eating up, although the wife and I went to a party last night and I did eat some crap. Oh well. What's done is done.

At the end of this week I'll post my stats again and see if there's any sort of improvement.

Noticed today that I've gained just over 3lbs this week. I'm sure it's water weight, but maybe not?? What's weird is I seem to be getting leaner. Weird, but definitely good. ha!

today's workout was a good one. 3 sets x 8 reps.
not realy heavy, not real lite.

Squats 215
upright rows 80
pull ups w/ 20lbs in ankle weights
incline db bench 85's
skull crushers 80
bb curls 80

Ok, I promised TG that I wouldnt weigh myself but once a week.... SO on Saturdays I'll weigh myself and post my results over the weekends.

Today's workout was the 15 rep routine. Hate it. but I do like the idea of the different rep schemes. Massive Eating... well, take a look at my new sig line. lol....

Lighter weights today with the 15 reps x 2 sets:

flat bench 130
split squats 40 db ea hand

db shoulder press 50's
deads 150 - little heavier than last week but I didnt tire nearly as quick. Felt a LOT stronger with the deads tonight.

db hammer curls 30's
calf raises 80lb db in same hand as working leg.

I am enjoying this ABBH.

split squats. Yeah, by the 10th rep I'm wanting to scream out in pain. the burning..... I hate it. I love it.

Hell, I may as well put it in my sig line. I feel like that's all I do anymore. LOL

Off day today and tomorrow. Ahhhhhh, relaxation and football. What better combination.

Hey GR - first time I've checked out your log. Nice pics - your legs are hyooge and your upper body is pretty impressive too. What a great platform from which to jump to the next level. Good luck with the bulk. Looking forward to seeing the transformation at the end of the year.

Thanks K-Court! My legs aren't really huge, it's an optical illusion.

God, time, perseverance, food, money willing and I should hit my goal by the end of the year. I'm sure as hell going to give it my best shot at the very least.

Thanks for checking in.

Like I say, I'll post stats tonight, I'm sure my bf% went up but then everybody knows it's going to when you're bulking. I've just got to remember that......

Woo hoo! You're getting massive!

Wow... 15 single leg calf raises w/ 80 pounds! Both your grip strength and your calves are amazing. And I agree w/ TG - 15 rep split squats would have me in tears.

Good work!

Nice work, GR. Nice to break that 180 mark, isn't it? You and I weigh almost exactly the same, and I hear you about the bulk adding to the bf. Man, where did those abs go??

Ok, my updated stats:

Neck still 16"
chest still 42 5/8"
waist still (amazingly) 31 3/4"
shoulders still 50 1/4"

right upper arm 15 5/8"!! UP 1/8"
left upper arm 15 3/8"!! UP 1/8"

left forearm still 12 1/8"
right forearm still 12 1/2"

Now... GET THIS...

left thigh 22 3/4"!!!!! UP 1/4"!!! WTF???!!!!
right thigh 22 3/4"!!!!! also UP 1/4"

left calf 14 3/16" UP 3/16"!!!
right calf 14 1/8" UP 1/8"

And here's the really CRAZY part... weight 180.2 and my bodyfat %???? 11.5%!!!!! down almost a full % point. Actually I couldnt believe it so I measured three times. Twice I got 11% and once 11.9% I probably goofed on the high one, but even there.... I averaged it out to 11.5%
Simply amazing!!! That ABBH and Massive Eating REALLY works!!!

I've just today started week 3. 5 reps heavy as possible w/good form:

Incline bb press 160
chin ups body weight + 20lbs in ankle weights

single leg bb squats 130
arnold press 65's

behind the head triceps press (db) 80
standing db curls 45's

Now I'm really getting excited about this routine. Seeing results really gets me motivated!!!

I totally agree -- nothing motivates like results. Good job!

Thanks guys!! I'm really motivated for the rest of this week now.
I added more oatmeal, more rice and more eggs to my eating to bump me up about another 300 cals for this week. man, I feel like I'm stuffing myself, but if that's what it takes..... I don't know how I'm ever going to injest near 3500 calories that JB's plan says I'll need. Ha!
