How much longer to Phase 4 Jimbo? I think you'll like that one. I was skeptical at first but it has proven to be a fun phase.

I had like a 3 week interuption to the program. So I started over on Phase III. I've been on it for 3 weeks. I want to keep on for at least another 3. Making tremendous strength gains. I just hate to switch while making such gains. I've never done anything like this before strength wise. Going up 10# a week on Deads & Squats. 5# a week on bench. It's freakin awesome.
Prior to doing this program I was always switching up often and never really made these kinds of strength gains. I know this routine is supposed to be for size...but I'm frankly "pumped" about the strength gains. S2B rocks. My body likes it.

I'm with Jimbo on this one my gains are doing so well ( especially on box squats and deadlifts ) I don't want to leave this phase either.
Like I told K I think I'm going to add 2 weeks to this phase. Mainly because of my poor, poor and week little arms they can barely lift my own bodyweight up on the pull-ups. Also my bench needs to improve. My last bench was 135/155/160 160/175 with a spotter he said he didn't really help/185 with the help of a spotter did 1 on my own then did 3 negs.
K, I gotta hand it to you, you're awsome on the pull-ups great poundages!

No problem, dude. That's what bros are for!
Personally, I liked phase 3 better than I do phase 4 (so far). I really liked the basic lifts in phase 3 and the strength gains were awesome. I'm only in the first week of phase 4 but so far it's nothing to write home about. I'm glad I'm doing P10 with it for my arms - that makes it a bit more challenging.

BM (snicker snicker- sorry) It looks like your bench is just a bit ahead of mine. So how are you at the hang snatch? I find this the most challenging part of the program. I haven't moved much on those. Everything else is climbing.
It's going to be tough leaving this phase if I keep making gains...fact is...I'm thinking I might be crazy to leave this phase as long as I keep moving the weights up. At some point...it has to "level out"..but so far...I just keep getting stronger.
Some of it can be contributed to mastering the lifts themselves...but not nearly all of it. Just think...I've added 30# to my squat in the last 3 weeks and honeslty felt I could do more. I'm confident of 300# this Friday!

Don't think just do it. Slap on 3 45's each sidestare at yourself in the mirror for 30 seconds and think of a very angry place take a deep breath and push that beotch.
Works for me.
Just be careful step back slowly and watch you ballance.

My hang snatch started at
Oct 14
65/75/80 80/90/95
Nov1
75/85/95 95/105/110
The previous week I did 115 on the last set of the second wave but I only managed to squeek 1 rep out. Not good enough for me so went down to 110 for a complete set and good form, but still had a tough time.

Those are sweet numbers, BM. I had a helluva time with hang snatch in phase 3 and ended up subbing it out. With the military press, it was just too damned hard on my bum shoulder. 115 ... whoa.

Well gee thanks, but remember, I did say I squeeked it out, I just about fell on my ass.
I'm not kidding.

Wow. 115. Good job BM. It just so happens I did these this morning. I still suck at them...or at least when I add on more weight.

Military Press - 85/95/105 - 95/105/110
Russian Twists - 2 x 8 x 10
Prone Row - 2 x 8 x 35

I'm realizing that I have to do quite a bit of warming up for the Hang Snatches. Do some lighter weights for a while before loading the bar for sets. I made the mistake this morning of just throwing on 95# and going for it. Failed miserably...which made the rest of the sets a LOT of fun fun fun.

Don't worry about it, Jemmie. Shit happens. You were probably just suffering from the lack of sleep. Just regroup and hit the PB next time you do W/O C. You're getting some nice weight on the pullups.
