I use the plates every time now..

Regarding the shopping...gonna have to wait until I get paid again. We are scraping by right now...so I can't really insist on another trip to the grocery store. I'm out of protien supps at home..sux...out of fish oil caps..sux..man oh man. And my wife made lasagnia for us ot eat on for the next few days. My diet sux. Its a struggle just to get enough protien. wahhh wahhh...okay...I sound like I'm whining...I guess I am. sorry.

Eating eggs, eggs and more eggs though. They are cheap. Lot of fat in them thare yolks though.

If my rich uncle would leave me 6 figures...I'd buy me a chicken!

Okay...I'm done now.

No doubt. They're bleedin me friggin dry I tell ya! LOL

Well..my off day today,so I did a lil 2 mile run. First mile I did in 8 minutes..so I was right proud of myself.

Especially since my legs are pretty sore from the Unil Squats.

I did the second mile run walk run walk...

Nothing exciting.

I worry about my upper body not getting much exercise. This is a lonnnnng month. I'll be happy to begin Phase 2. I'm re-reading it to prepare.

I'm with you on the length of the phase. I'm tired of working everything behind me (upper back, lower back, glutes and hamstrings). Only two more workouts left for the corrective phase for me! Have you retaken the assessment tests? For me that made the whole corrective phase worthwhile.

No I haven't that's a good idea UN.

But I know that I'm more flexible and stronger just from doing the Uni's. I'm beginning to like the unilateral squats (in a sadistic kind of way of course) It's challengine to try and get all those reps in. So far...I have to admit I haven't successfully gotten ALL of the reps in on the Uni Squats. But I'm getting closer. I'd really like to get all 3 sets of 8 in b4 I finish this phase..that's my goal.

How'd the diet go over the weekend? Did you get any shopping done?
The reason I don't use a plate is that my heal coming up is part of my flexibility issues. If I baby it it will only get worse. What I have been doing is balancing my right leg against a swiss ball for stability so that I can get through all my left leg reps.

I'll take the assessmnet at the end of the week. I plan to use it as a before and after to see if all the cussing and screaming did anything.

That's what I've been doing wrong Deserve. Instead of cussing and screaming I've been simply whimpering during those unilaterals. Think JP would mind if I let loose?

I'll be reassessing myself this weekend.

Cool that JB got on line to check our progress!

In regards to my workouts...

Yesterday was Workout A and I have to say that the Cuban Presses were tough. I'm doing VBS (vacation bible school) this week and I'm the puppet guy. Unbelieveable how heavy a little hairy cloth puppy can get when you have it raised above your heavy for a few hours. Good thing I did this corrective phase. Not sure my shoulders could have handled this b4.

Ran 2 miles this am. Pretty un-exciting.

I hope he checks back in more. I would hate to think it was just a promotional stop. I think he's a good guy with some good ideas that I am making good progress with.

Cuban presses have hammered my shoulders and I only just recently moved to 15 lbs dumbells. I like em.

I thought about 15's. Sheesh...you just shamed me into it. Now I HAVE to do 15's. Woe as me....

Try holding a puppet above your head for a few hours each night. Glad the kids can't see my face behind the screen. Would scare em the way I'm grimacing...

Did those Unilateral Squats again this a.m. Dang...my left leg is like..twice as weak as my right. Lots less stable. And I haven't even come close to doing 3 set of 8 on both legs yet. Are you guys getting all your reps and sets in on those?

I think all the running I did prior to starting S2B has helped me in the squats department -- just about killed me everywhere else though... I preface this so you don't feel bad... This morning I did the last corrective phase workout which included 3x8 uni squats... I did them with #20 DB in each hand.

Before you start cursing me, remember, YOU asked.

Aggg! I did ask didn't I.

How much running did you do? I run a couple miles on Tues & Thurs...sometimes run 3 miles on Sat. One would think that my legs are in pretty good shape to so the running I do...

So should I continue my corrective phase until I get all the reps? What do ya'll think?

I went through the 5K intermediate program at halhigdon.com -- which I think you recommended to me if I recall correctly. It was difficult but I was able to run 7 miles pretty comfortably at the end.

I hope I didn't discourage you. I've always had powerful legs. I think its long left over my my days as a sprinter (100m + 200m). I did lots of lifting for my legs back then (almost 20 years ago!).

Naaaa. There's no discouraging me man. I'm pretty focused. I know there are a ton of folks out there stronger and bigger than I am. But I'm stronger and bigger than I was a year ago and intend to keep going. It's good for you guys to challenge me! Helps my motivation. (if I don't hurt myself) wink wink

Anyway...I wish I hadn't named this thread PHASE I. I was really thinking when I did that! Now I'm starting Phase II. I don't want another thread. I think I'll just try and get JP to rename this one for me.

I don't remember recommending a 5k program...must have been someone else...wish I could take credit...but alas...

In any event sounds like your legs are really strong. Rock on dude.
