(sets x reps x weight)
Flat BB Bench
1x8x135
4x5x155
1x5x160
BW Chins
2x8
1x5 (was going for another 8..failed) drats!
Dips
1x5xbw+20, +25, +30, +40, +45, +50, +55, +60 (total of 40 reps)
BO DB Rows
1x8x35
4x5x40
1x5x45
Seated DB Military Press
1x10x30
2x10x35
1x10x40
AB Machine (weighted crunches)
1x30x70
1x25x90
1x20x110
1x15x130
Hammer Curls
(a buttload of 5-10 rep sets) Started really light with 12's and pyramided up to 30's and back down. I didn't specifically count reps sets. I trashed my bi's.
Tricep Pressdowns
1x10x90
1x10x100
1x10x110
I just love doing dips. I could have done a +65 set but I knew I would fail somewhere in that one and I don't like the awkwardness of trying to catch the DB. They don't have a chain/strap to do these so I have to grasp a DB behind one knee. Sucks..but serves the purpose.
Decent workout.

It's Monday morning..NO WAY I can remember the set/reps I did on Saturday. I MUST get better at logging.
But here's today's session:
Monday, July 16, 2007
(1 minute rests between every set)
BW Chins
2x8
1x6 (Still can't seem to hit 3 sets of 8)
BB Flat Bench
1x8x105
1x8x135
3x5x155
2x5x160
1x8x135
BO DB Rows
1x5x35
4x5x40
1x5x45
DIPS
1x10xbw+25
1x5xbw+30
1x5xbw+35
1x5xbw+40
1x5xbw+45
Bicep Work (Lots "O" DB Curls) starting with 20's up to 35's and back down. Then added some cable curls and finished with 15's several sets of 10 during tricep work.
Tricep work - Cable press downs with both rope and straight bar.
AB Machine (weighted crunches)

Scap Push Ups
3x15
Reverse Crunches 3x15
BO LAT raise
3x15x10
Face Pulls
3x10x80
Bicep & Tricep Work A-Galore with DB's and cable too. Got pomped op.
This session looks quite different than my past few months. Since I'm having a left shoulder issue, I researched and am taking Erric Cressey's advice and doing some stuff to fix my issues. Pretty sure I have caused an imbalance by hitting too much bench, dip, chins over the last 4 months. I did some BO Rows during that time but not enough. So for the next few weeks I will be focusing on scap work.
I was amazed at how difficult those Scap push ups were! Such a small movement but such a big impact. Wow.
It might just be my imagination but my shoulder felt better after this session and my posture feels different..better. Amazing that just one session could make a noticable difference.

I have an appointment Friday with an ortho doctor who specializes in knees. My right knee has been f'd up for over a month. I haven't been able to do any leg work at all. Might as well getter dun. Everyone please wish me luck. I'm a little concerned what I may find out. But doctor is unavoidable this time.

Saturday, July 21, 2007 & Monday, July 23, 2007
I pretty much did the same routine both days..
Scap Pushups
3x15
Chins
3x8
BO DB Lat Raises
1x10x15
1x10x20
1x10x25
Inc DB Bench
1x8x40
1x8x50
1x8x60
Bicep & Tricep Work - A ton of sets x reps on cable machine and DB's.
Reverse Crunch
3x15
KNEE UPDATE - Good news first. X-Ray shows that my knees look great. Not worn out and ready for trash pile! Woohoo. Bad news - I do have a snapped interior ligament on my right knee(avery common occurence). Getting an MRI just to confirm it and then scheduling a surgery to fix the biotch.

(sets x reps x weight)
1 minute rests between sets
Superset
Scap Pushups
3x15
BW Chins
1x9
2x8
BO DB Rows
3x15x15
Reverse Crunch
3x15
Inc DB Bench
3x10x40
Cable Crossovers
1x10x40
3x10x80
Unilateral Squat 1x5 (Left leg only)
Unilateral - Leg Press Machine (Left leg only)
1x10x70
2x10x120
1x10x110
Used an unusual leg press machine (Cybex Eagle Leg Press) where the SEAT moved and not the platform where you put your feet- It was actually pretty cool. Once I adjusted the seat it was firing my glutes/hams and quads during the press! And I never fet like it was really stressing my knee. Didn't feel awkward at all. So..I'll be adding that bad boy despite the fact that it is a machine and we all know machines are just bad. BAD I SAY! Anyway, since I couldn't do anything with my right leg, this was useful.
I have an MRI today. Yeehaw.
Oh..I did a buttload of bicep and tricep work. I dunno if my bi's are getting any bigger but I'm getting good at doing curls. Maybe I should move to the squat rack to make progress there?

You're looking pretty mean with those pull ups too. Guess those curls are paying off!

Knee update. The results from the MRI are in. Nurse told me that I have a torn ACL and called me in to put a brace on my leg immobilizing my knee until I see the doctor in two weeks. So walking around all stiff legged and it's not the happy kind.
Looking up info on a torn ACL and surgery options didn't make me feel better. This looks serious. Damb it.
I'm taking this week off from the gym but will resume doing upper body work and unilateral left leg work on Monday next week. I'll just do what I can do. I fully intend to be running again some day. I like running and doing squats. But it will probably be several months before I get to use my right leg again.
